Hello, all.
I just finished a strength cycle and re-tested for my one-rep maximums. I was pleased to see that I increased markedly in all four of my fundamental lifts. My new squat max is 250, while my new max for deadlifts is 340.
While it seems logical that one should be able to deadlift much more than they can squat, I have seen some people on the forum whose ratio for max squats and max deadlifts are closer to 1:1. What are your maximums for squats and deadlifts?

Squats vs. Deadlifts 1RM

its totally individual... though most will have a bigger dead then squat (unequiped at least)
however 250 vs. 340 seems like a big difference, I think you have alot of potential in your squat
my squat and dead are nearly equal, but I have short arms so it makes the dead more difficult.Last edited by Jneves; 09-05-2005 at 08:58 AM.
