ABCDE Diet and the "Zigzag" Diet

Anyone remember the ABCDE diet that was mentioned a few years back in MM 2000? Wondering if anyone has tried it. Right now I am on Fred Hatfield's "Zigzag" diet which is similar to the ABCDE diet but shorter (the cycles last days instead of weeks.) Any feedback on these diets?

    ABCDE diet.

They work on the same principle basically but differ on methodology. Basically diet a short period, then a refeeding period. The idea is to trick the body and avoid catabolism.
