I have accidentally begun to omit good complex carbs from my diet and it's not working for me. So I need to revise the diet plan and was curious what complex carbs have worked well for you. I am currently trying to lose bodyfat slowly and also maintain, even gain, lean body mass.
I am especially interested in portable, "low maintenance" carbs - while I can heat up rice or pasta for the midday meal at work, my other meal times need to be fast and easy.
Thanks!

oats
brown rice
whole wheat pasta
ezekiel bread
yams
fiborous veggies
quinoa
chickpeas
beans
for portability, get creative. Oats become muffins or healthy cookies, chickpeas become hummus, bread becomes a sandwich, etc. There is no such thing as good or bad, only thinking makes it so
Your outlook on life is a direct reflection of how much you like yourself

Definitely agreed. Oats & sweet potatoes are the easiest. You can microwave a sweet potato in 6-7 minutes and oats are good for just about anything. Throw em in a shake w/ some whey or mix them w/ a piece of fruit & some whey for a great post-workout meal. Black beans & kidney beans are also great sources and even have some extra protein. I personally like mixing up black beans w/ tuna & salsa for a nice snack.
