well it's a long shot but heres a bit about me, im 20 years old and have always done everything to the fullest. i quit college to become a firefighter (career) and put in thousands of hours in training and volunteering to do so. it was my life dream as long as i could remember. i used to lift for sports and such, and sort-of kept in shape... not really. i started lifting seriously after being 19 playing in a mens rugby league. after i got the job on the fire dept, i kept lifting so i could be in decent shape for my job. i found this site and became absolutely addicted to bodybuilding and improving my physique. i live by the articles and wealth of info shared in the forums. i now balance my firefighting career with training for a competition. i always find myself reading something on this site to learn something new and have decided to take it a step further and get my personal trainers license, not for work... i already have a job, but the knowledge... im currently bulking but should be a leaaannn 190-195 by my competition in october. and since its an all year ad, i figured id post,
thanks bb.com

I'm in the US Air Force, and have been for the past eleven years. I first started working out religiously almost two years ago. I had returned from a year-long stint in Korea, and abused my body with cigarettes, alcohol and fast food every single day without a solitary visit to the gym. I put on over 30 pounds, and even my wife commented that I was looking fat. The final blow was when I took the (then) new Air Force Physical Fitness Test and barely passed. I almost collapsed after staggering over the finish line of a 1.5 mile run. It was then that I realized I had to make huge changes in my lifestyle if I was to not only progress further in the military, but also to improve my health and my endurance and power for boxing. I was also miserable with the way I looked - 215 pounds and around 25% body fat. As someone that had been perpetually skinny up until then, it was a shock. A friend of mine showed me Bodybuilding.com and I was hooked. I relied on it for nutrition advice, workout tips, supplement information, and the source of the cheapest and widest selection of supplements I've ever seen. Now, through long work hours, numerous deployments throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia and becoming a parent to a beautiful little girl, I've not only lost the 30 pounds I put on, but a few more, and replaced it with muscle. I couldn't have done it without help from Bodybuilding.com. I'm very grateful to the site and it's contributors. Thank you!
Here is me before, at 215 pounds and about 25% body fat. My waist measured 39", and my chest was not much larger.
Here I am currently, at 180 pounds with about 6% bodyfat. My waist is down to 30.5" at 6'3".

I want to be in a the bodybuilding.com magazine
Heres a sample of my day-7 days a week
I currently have a FULL time job working 10 hours a day at a machine shop. I get up at 5:20 am every morning, shower and make breakfast and get my food I prepared the night before to eat at work. I work 9-10 hours and I eat 3 times in that time. I leave work around 3:20 P.M. and I go to the gym and work out until around 5:00 P.M. Then I go home and make my protein shake and shower again. Then I make my 6th meal and I go up or go get my girl and we hang out. I eat meal 6 with her. I hang out with my g/f until 9:00 P.M. each night. I go home prepare my 3 meals for at work the next day..Then I sleep. Thats my day..and weekends I eat my 7 meals and go out with my g/f and relax. and CARDIO..and since im dieting for my bodybuilding show now, I also get up and do cardio before breakfast and work 3x per week.
heres my first progress pic..enjoy

Still highly interested...
Here are some recent photos, and here is my story:
Being a college student, everything except your youth is against you in achieving your fitness goals. Each of the essential components of success in bodybuilding--training, diet, and rest, are all vulnerable. I have to deal with not only the time it takes to be a successful student, but also the stress and distractions that come along with it. Late nights studying for exams, and late night parties spells disaster for one's physique. The college environment is not conducive to living a fit lifestyle, so I use Bodybuilding.com to help correct it.
I first used Bodybuilding.com when I decided to pursue my fitness goals six years ago. With all of the informative articles I read, I developed a solid understanding of the sport. Today, I use Bodybuilding.com to keep up with the latest in training, diet, and supplementation. It is also a great place for growth and self-improvement. If I'm ever in a rut, I'll just go to Bodybuilding.com, read an inspiring article, and go to the gym with a new, refreshed mindset. With a supportive community in BodySpace, and everything else the site has to offer, Bodybuilding.com makes achieving your fitness and bodybuilding goals easier than ever!
Thank you,
Parker Cote

I am here to educate.
Fact, Fitness, Fantasy. You can find it all, at your local library.
Whatever their future, at the dawn of their lives, men seek a noble vision of man's nature and of life's potential. ~Ayn Rand
Fear when your friends say to you what you have done well, and say it through. But when they stand with uncertain timid looks of respect and half dislike, and must suspend their judgement for years to come, you may begin to hope.

I would like to enter
This was Dec 2006 around 300 lbs 40% bodyfat
This was August 07 at 232 lbs 29% bodyfat working the Muscular Distrophy booth for the Fire Department.
I am not where I want to be yet but by the end of the year I will be. I am starting to think my goal will be attained by summer.
I work from 7:00 to 4:00 Monday thru Friday as a security officer. I usually sit around answering phones or riding in a van. I may get 3 hours a day that I actually have to do something. After work I am a Firefighter. Being a firefighter is great and can be very much a workout but if you dont live in a big city the fire runs can be far and few in between. I got into bodybuilding because I finally opened my eyes and saw my life fading away. I could barely move around without being out of breath. It was a chore just to get my socks and shoes on. I had a stroke when I was 25 years old. I was very sedentary. I stayed on the computer all the time and didnt do anything else till my blood pressure got so high and I had a stroke. I have pretty much made a full recovery now but I still didnt learn from that incident. I got active for about 6 months but went back to the apple pies and computers. In December I picked up a muscle & Fitness magazine and seen a Ad for bodybuilding.com. I joined and everyone on here has been so helpfull. There is a bunch of great information on nutrition and fitness that has helped me reach my goals. This year my goal is a lean 200 lbs and I know it is attainable with the help and motivation found on bodybuilding.comLast edited by slvrwolf1; 02-24-2008 at 05:46 PM.

If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
