Egg Whites
When everyone is referring to just eating the egg whites are you referring to the stuff they sell in the carton with the eggs?
Sorry if that sounds like such a newbie question but I have always been the country boy who eats regular eggs all the time but I want to stricken up my diet and cut out the fat and cholesteral...
Also if I am correct about that hows the taste compare?
Thanks
Mike

you can remove the egg yolk and just eat the white but you can buy the egg whites in a carton like i do they're liquid egg whites...same thing, but just egg whites is more bland so i tend to mix whole eggs and whites

Why knock out the fat and cholesterol? Both sources from eggs are good for you.
Only reason to eat egg whites IMO is to get more protein in your macros if you don't have room for the fat ... but even that is silly to me.
Eat the whole egg. Oh and whole milk too thx
If you want to lose weight then monitor your calories more than your dietary fat.

Many people want to avoid the fat and cholesterol in egg yolks, so choose to eat more whites than yolks: they'll take some whites (say from 2-4 eggs), for the protein, mix in 1-2 whole eggs (white and yolk), and make an omalette or scramble. I do this.
Since it is wasteful to throw away extra yolks, whites are conveniently available in those little cartons.
Whites are a great source of protein, yolks of vitamins, fat, and cholesterol.
However, it has been argued that the fat in yolks is relatively healthy (as long as it fits in your macros), and dietary cholesterol has little bearing on blood cholesterol levels.
I have high cholesterol, but have started diet and exercise, and plan to have it checked. If it is getting normal, I plan to increase my consumption of yolks from two a week to as many as one a day, and recheck -- there are real benefits to them.

You know, people attack me for throwing out the yolks (of really cheap eggs, LOL), but then again, what do they do with the ones that they put in Eggbeaters?
And I put the yolks I don't use for the backyard raccoons sometimes... cute little buggers.

Yeah, I wondered about that myself, but figure they must have some food industry use, whereas I would just throw them away.
Hmm, is the feminine form of "dude" "dudette"?

I was under the impression that the yolk wasn't as good for you because you see everyone posting there diets eating so many egg whites and less yolk then I look at my diet where I chow down the whole egg and never think twice...Needless to say I appreciate the advice. I am a hardgainer so I have very little concern about losing fat, but I do want to gain lean muscle with the least fat possible so I was just trying to eat smarter.
Honestly I love eating whole eggs and if theres no proven evidence that its unhealthy I will stick to them.

I love whole eggs. Give me the yolk baby. Eggs whites alone are pure nastiness. Trying to hype em up w/ some splenda and cinnamon was perhaps the worst advice I'd ever received in my life. (Seriously...don't ever do it...some people do some crazy stuff w/ egg whites...beware the cinnamon/splenda combo that cutters promote)

Probably get turned into mayonnaise. Lol, they'd be better off in my stomach or the garbage dump if that's the case.

You should be eating whole eggs. At your age dietary cholesterol should not be a problem.
