    How long does your workout last???

    I workout 4 times a week and it seems like my workouts are really short. I am only working out for 45mins, but I do feel good leaving, and am seeing gains...Does that sound too short?

    I am just curious how long you guys workout, I know it kind of depends on time of day and how advanced you are.

    I workout 6 days a week...my workouts are approximately 1.5 hrs. long... some may call this overtraining, but's it works for me and I'll continue to train this long until I stop seeing improvements on my physiqu...

    Mine average about an hour. 16-20, sets with minimal rest in between. Remember, you are there to work. Do what you came to do and leave.

    I have a five day program.

    My Chest/Back and Quad/Hams days take 60-75 minutes.

    And my Bi/Tri and Shoulder/Calf days usually take 45-60 minutes.

    My other day is 20 minutes of treadmill work followed by 10 minutes of abs, and top it off with a 15 to 20 minute trip to the steam room.

    45 to 50 minutes on average day (5 on 2 off). As little as 30 on leg day. If I'm ready to yack or pass out after heavy squats then I'll sacrifice extensions or do calves some other time.
    I don't count any stretch or warm up time part of the work out.
    I asked a question a week ago on test levels. Got a great answer. You may want to read it when you get a chance.

    i kick my ass for about 30 to 40 minutes and get out, one bodypart per session sometimes ill do a split work chest in morning and hamstrings at night or soemthing like that

    It depends how many muscles i work that day and which ones. I try to get a one muscle day under an hour but for two groups i'll go mayb and hour and a half.

    anything over 45 min. is catabolic and a waste....


    just try it yourself go 8 weeks training 3 days weekly, 45 min. workouts

    then try it your way for 8 weeks...

    that would prove my theory

    i workout four days as well, and my workout lasts about 45mins.
    sometimes i do cardio before i workout just to warm up, then i'm there for about an hour. but i'm never at the gym for more then an hour
