Noob question

ok got my animal stak sample today and i felt the little pouch and it feel like there are capsules inside. not sure if i open it and leave it open it will effect anything since i dont plan on using it just yet. i wanna wait until i start wroking out heavy and see if i can tell the difference from one day to the next. also i wanna know how im supposed to take it. do i drop it in water or just swallow it??
