Dude!
My workout partner and I were training today when he goes to get a drink of water and comes back and says, "You should see that guy in the other room. He looks just like the guy who won World's Strongest Man a few years back. You know, the one who hosts the show now?" And I said, "Bill Kazmaier?", and he said "Yeah! That's him!"
Turns out it was Bill! The man was curling 95 lb. dumbbells like they were nothing! And his arms are huge! I hope he won't mind but I want to post a picture I took with him today. He's a really nice guy and was kind enough to sign a few autographs for some of us who were at the gym today. It was way cool!
So, I learned three things from this experience:
1. Our gym owner is cool! He knows famous people!
2. Whenever you think you're hot stuff in the gym, someone else can lift more than you.
3. Neat stuff happens at the gym on a Fridays!
Below is a picture of the two of us.
And if you want to know more about Bill, check out this link: http://www.mcshane-enterprises.com/ASL/kaz.html
Later guys!

That's totally cool Skip. He looks like a tank and those arms look like they could snap limbs with ease . Biggest guy to work out at my gym was NFL super prospect gone bust Tony Mandrich. I felt like a ten year old kid standing next to him..lol.

Yeah, seeing "Kaz" at our gym was cool for all of us. All the powerlifters who were there that day (Nate and Jared in particular) were very impressed. Heck, I was impressed and I can barely dumbbell press 130% of my bodyweight. Apparently he drives here from his home in Alabama rather often to see his son play football. Now is that a cool dad, or what?

Skip that shirt looks like something outta "Pumping Iron". I'm jealous you got to meet Kaz. I didn't think he was that tall, or is he standing on a chair next to you? I bet his kid is quite the football player.

I remember seeing Kaz at Gainesville Gym a couple of years back. He's probably one of the few people who can actually lift those 200 pound DBs. I remember he was talking to some girl about his deadlift record. And he is tall. He looked to be about 6'5" 300+ pounds and he was well over 40. Had a huge bone structure too. His calves were like 20+" and they barely came off his knee.

Ah, that's my signature workout shirt. When a lot of my dress shirts for work started getting old (or not fitting in the neck anymore), I cut the sleeves and collar off and wear them as workout shirts. I have like a dozen of them in white, blue and beige.
