What is wrong with my body? I have tried going to tanning salon, but my body really doesnt tan. How do I make these stretch marks fade away? No one on this board has worse stretch marks than me.

Is the stretch marks due to you gaining muscle very quickly, or are they regular gain in fat mass in a short period of time? If it's the work of the former, props to you. But I think there are lotions you can purchase to get rid of them. It's for women I believe, but I think it will work never the less. Don't be ashamed to go into Macy's or Victoria Secret (the latter being a last resort) and drill a sales rep in getting the best one for your "girlfriend"

Try tanning Monday, Wednesday, Friday starting at 1/2 the max time and working up to the max time over the course of a month or two. I tried jumping up my times in the tanning salon too fast my first time there, and it did more harm then good. I came back and did the right way, started at 10 minutes a session, and upped it by 2 minutes a week, reaching the max of 20 minutes per sessions today, and now I can really see the difference it makes in my skin tone and stretch marks. My forearm stretchmarks aren't as visible, my bicep ones are slightly less noticable, but I got some new ones on my shoulders/chest so I can't really say what it's done... lol...
I've pretty much given up on my stretch marks, but I still tan because it makes me look better and definately helps with acne.

hey, I migiht not know much but you should put the real cocoa butter and vitamin A/E capsules ( not sure which one) on the stretch marks. I say this because I went through this stage, they are pink because thats just blood so its easier to ( not prevent ) but make them little bit lighter, but if you just dont do anything they are going to be set in, as I have mine are all over the body even on legs so I think you should try out the things I mentioned. Let me know how it works out.

Unfortunately thats what you get from being a growing boy!
Seriously, vitamin E cream may help a little but the best treatment is copper peptides along with alpha hydroxy acids.
The following web page is rambling but it gives some of the ideas about copper peptides. There are lots of creams on the market at different strengths & you need to find the right one for you.

Women seem to know about these products because of stretchmarks in pregnancy.Last edited by GregT; 08-29-2005 at 08:02 PM.

I have worse stretch marks than you in around the same areas. I have them on my shoulders, where the pec connects to shoulder, the rear delt and across my tricep and bicep. Also on my inner thighs. I was never fat, but I gained muscle really quick. Mine are still pretty visible. I bought a Vit E cream but I dunno how much it is helping. Id like to hear if you have any success removing them.

bigman i can't give you a solution for the stretchmarks but i can save you some money but telling you vitamin E and cheap stretchmark creams/lotions do NOT work from personal experience if you really wanna get rid of them you should either look into the laser treatment or maybe a more expensive cream or lotion because like i said before i have tried just about every kind you can buy in the regular store and they didnt to anything

Thanks for all the replies, I actually bought DMARK awhile ago. Saw it in bodybuilding magazine. I stopped using it because it wasnt working or I had no patience. I also have cocoa butter, but also stopped using that also. They used to be worse and faded on a little on my biceps. But I honestly have them on every body party except calves. Every muscle I workout I always get stretch marks. I have them all over my armpit and lats also. Wierd thing is I also have them on my lower back. I am guessing I gained muscle/fat mass too quick and then lost alot of it.

The only 100% removal method is with laser surgery, they also won't come back. It's purely genetic as to whether your skin has the collogen to stretch in time. There is no magic cream, at best they will prevent more from splitting, they will never fade to grey if they are on insertion points - underarm or on the shoulders.
They are many people with MUCH worse stretch marks, it does defeat the point of BB though as you never want to take your top off.BP-29/07/05 -305 -3/3/06 - 325 - 340

I have some very similar to those in the pics. Mine also started appearing on the tops of my biceps during my what i like to call new weight curls. I was curling 10pounds higher every 4 weeks until i capped off at like 60 and during the time i went from 30-60 the stretch marks boomed all over my bicep and trap area. I guess its just basically the quick stretching of the skin
