Yeah, I think I actually look leaner now than when I started, but at the time I had pretty much zero muscle mass, so that's a big factor. I'm definitely more vascular; I've got a big one that comes down my left shoulder into my chest as well as some on my lower abs, and my calves are pretty disgusting, lol, but they were already like that b/c of running so much.
Unfortunately, at this point I doubt I ever look much leaner as I continue to bulk, but I'd rather get hyooge before I worry about it.

The vascularity that Is most personally gratifying to me is the vascularity in my lower abs...I don't think I was getting that in my ava because I hadn't been working out.

Someday, someday. I'm eating a well balanced diet, working out hard and finally my body is dealing with all of the protein I am giving it. The bedtime shakes seem to help too. No vascularity though. Just isn't happening for me. I must be eating too many carbs.
Any help from those that seem to "get it"?

I work about 30 hours a week plus go to school full time, but generally 6/7 days I eat about 40/40/20 Protein/Carbs/Fat. I take in on average 3,500 calories a day with about 1.5 gallons of water per day. Are you getting enough good fat in your diet? I know it sounds silly for someone trying to keep the fat off, but you need unsaturated fat.

how many calories
whats the breakdwon on ur macros?
how many times u workout?
how clean is ur diet?
these are things u have to ask yourself
find ur BMR + Activity and then eat 400-500 over..
track ur calories on fitday.com with what u normally eat in a day.. ull be surprised by if ur having too much or too little

I'm not bullking now - or cutting - just looking to maintain and let my body rest. BUT I noticed that during weight gain times, the vascularity can increase, and BF lower because you are simply working your butt off in the gym and eating like a monster...if you're not getting a consistent pump, you're not working hard enough. When bulking, I hold the experiential opinion that you should work yourself a little past failure every time...that's how your body responds.
It's about ZE PUMP!www.xccellence.com
