    Question Conflicting info about indole-3-carbinol

I've been trying to boost testosterone levels using Trib, ZMA, and regular food like peanut butter. I've been reading about how broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables contain indole-3-carbinol which helps free up testosterone for use. It is discussed here...

    and here...

The problem is that I'm finding conflicting information about indole-3-carbinol with some people stating that is makes any estrogen/testosterone imbalance worse...

    "Not recommended:
DIM (di-indolmethane)/I3C (Indole-3-Carbinol) Aromatase inhibitors like DIM, Indole 3 carbinol, and chrysin should be avoided, as they will enhance any preexisting androgen / estrogen dominance."

    from...

Just wondering if anyone has any insight about this?

    thanks.

DIM is not an aromatase inhibitor. It works by inducing a set of liver enzymes (the same that metabolize caffeine) to increase estrogen conversion to the the so called "catechol estrogens".

Somehow these Catechol estrogens were supposed to increase "free" testosterone. (exact mechanism escapes me.)

Anyway Met-Rx sold it years ago during their Prohormone days.
