If you don't see his gut you're watching the wrong video. Its always funny to see how people point out Ronnie's gut and everyone elses, but yet somehow Dorian is spared.

Said this before. Because he could hold a pose and make his midsection look like that of a 200 pound bodybuilder. And that is 3 weeks out. Show me an Olympia competitor today who won't have a slight buldge in the midsection at 3 weeks out.

If it's visible when the physique is being presented, it matters, and that's that. Fully flexed mandatories do NOT equal the whole presentation package.
Without Dorian's been accepted by the IFBB judges in latter years, the GH gut era would not exist.
He kept it in very good control for the 2003 Olympia, but after that...

If we judged when the physique was not being presented, then many of the guys who can make their muscles appear bigger while posing would be out of a job. I know a lot of guys "blow up" when they actually start flexing. I am not saying that inbetween mandatories is not important, but they shouldn't factor in that much.

Both Ronnie and Arnold didnt look very overpowering and terrific until they hit poses.

I am referring to solely the presentation of the physique being important.
