Ohio State in NC game?
#2 Oregon lost, #4 Oklahoma is currently getting beat 34-13 in the 4th qtr with 9 mins left.
#3 Kansas plays #5 Mizzou next week, 1 of them will lose and the winner will play Oklahoma in the big12 championship.
So as long as Oklahoma loses tonight, Ohio State will only need 2 of the following 3 things to happen :
1) #1 LSU lose SEC title game to Tenn/Ga (or lose to Arkansas-u never know)
2) Oklahoma beats winner of Kansas/Mizzou ( and I think they alrdy beat Mizz)
3) West Virginia lose 1 game(they have 2 games remaining #24 UCONN & PITT) They barely beat Cincinnati tonight btw.
Correct me if Im wrong but Im pretty sure they only need 2 out of those 3 to happen and they are in the NC game again. YAY!
I know Tbone Tommy is pullin for the Buckeyes!

what im curious about is if Tennesee loses and UGA goes to the SEC champ game and beats LSU. Would they then have a good chance despite being a 2 loss team. UGA has been looking pretty good as of late.

Doubtful with 2 losses. Unless they destroy LSU, they won't pass over WVU or OSU.

They only need WV to lose 1 game. Even if WV wins out, OSU would still go if LSU loses 1 and Oklahoma wins the Big12 championship game. Then it would be WV vs OSU.
Not far fetched, I think the Buckeyes have a good shot. Remember, they only need 2 of those 3 things to happen, they dont need all 3.
And johnny87 even if GA beats LSU I dont think they have a chance to get in the NC game with 2 losses. But they are playing great right now, I hope LSU has to play them instead of Tenn. GA will take LSU down.

WVU almost lost tonite to cincy. They play another ranked team b4 the end of the seaon i think. so they could easily lose.
im not a UGA fan but they seemed pretty impressive plus i live close to athens so it would be sweet to go chll up there during all that **** lol. I really hope tennessee loses cause thats going to make a hell of a SEC champ game.

WV plays #24 UCONN next week for the Big East title. Then they have to play Pitt after that. They could lose 1 of those.
And yeah I think GA>Tenn but either team could take LSU out if they play well.

Any team with a shot to go to the national title game could easily lose a game in the rest of the regular season.

I hope not, the Big Ten is having a terrible year and barely deserves the Rose Bowl IMO. I mean it came down to a team that lost to a D2 school could've been the representative in a BCS bowl (if they beat OSU that is).

LOL what an ignorant statement. How is the Big 10 having a terrible year? They have the 2nd most bowl eligible teams out of all the conferences.

Just the fact that a team who lost to a D2 school could represent a conference in a BCS bowl is pretty bad in my eyes. And I wouldn't have even thought about it like that, but heard it on ESPN's radio show and came to a realization.

Both home games. No way in hell WVU loses to any team not named South Florida this year (at least in the regular season). Uconn is overrated and Pitt is utter **** (as usual under Wanstadt).
Hopefully LSU loses because I'd love to see a KU v. WVU national championship game. The over under would be 80.
Also, do you really want Ohio State getting slaughtered again in the NC game? They don't match up very well against the SEC or any team that runs a spread (Kansas, MO, WVU)

This means nothing when you are scheduling horrible OOC schedules. Most big ten teams went into conference play already 4-0. So all they have to do is win 2 games in conference play then they are eligible. This doesn't mean it is a strong conference. It just means they schedule cup cakes for their OOC. The only two teams that played a tough OOC game were Michigan (Oregon) and Illinois (Mizzou).
Oh and they both lost.

"well if this team loses to them, they lose there conference title. This team loses also then maybe O.s can go to another N.c and work on that 0-8 schedule against the sec" lmao

Agreed. The ooc schedules look pretty good next year tho for the big10. I'm gonna love that Usc vs O.s game.

OSU is bringing everyone back next year. They will definitely be preseason #1.
And I agree with you bone, they will rock USC.

Everyone seems to forget about one other scenario. ASU wins out and I think they'll leap OSU and possibly WV. It will be like Michigan last year. Here's my reasoning.
First, the computers give the Big Ten no love. See USF and BC being ranked 1 by the computer ahead of OSU.
Second, OSU's season is over. The human voters have the attention span of goldfish. So while OSU is at home watching other teams play. ASU gets the chance to beat up on a USC team that still gets more respect than it deserves.
Finally, if it comes down to one loss LSU, ASU, OSU, WV then LSU is a lock. With the other three it will depend on how the human polls come out. IMO the pollsters will tend to favor a one loss Pac Ten team over a one loss Big Ten or Big East team. The computers already have ASU ahead of OSU and WV. (as of this week's BCS standings, wins over Michigan and Cincinnati will help both but ASU can still get a win over USC and jump back over both)
What I'm saying is that it's going to be impossible to say who would go in that scenario. You'll see a lot of rigged ballots. I remember one guy who votes in the Harrah's Poll last year had UF #1 and Michigan something like 25 (pre bowl games). Personally I hope the Big Ten and Pac Ten get shut out of the title game. It's a little petty, but of the big 6 conferences those two are the only holdouts on a +1 system.

BCS standings this week(according to ESPN):
6.WV
7.OSU
8.ASU
That was before the games today.I wouldnt count on ASU leap frogging either of those teams.

According to the computer rankings though (1/3 of BCS):
4. ASU
5. Missouri
6. OSU
7. Oklahoma
8. WVU
With Oregon losing, they'll move up to 3. If Oklahoma were to win the Big 12, and ASU were to win out, then they'll finish 2 in the computer rankings. If they win out it's not much of a leap to see them jumping an idle OSU and possibly WVU.
