    yep

can be better, actually. they're usually frozen immediately, preserving more vit/min than veggies that have been sitting around.

yep pecan is spot on. Frozen veggies are often better because they have not been sitting around in the store or in your refrigerator, they were flash frozen within minutes of harvest.

However, fresh from your garden (or farmer market stuff) might be an exception.

like mentioned already, frozen veg are picked ripe and processed immediately. Unless your fresh produce is local, chances are they're picked b4 fully ripe, thus may not pack the full vitamin and mineral punch.

    Smile Pecan is right . . .

Fresh look & taste better, but frozen (esp. in large economy-size bags) is equivalent in nutrition.

I nearly always buy frozen fruit/vegetables. They are always cheaper and just as good if you defrost and cook/steam them.

One thing to watch for is a bunch of frozen veggies come with built in sauce, which is basically a nice tasty mix of fat and sugar. But frozen veggies are fine.
