You are definitely missing out on a lot of arm size by ignoring your triceps. And how are you going to improve your bench and your chest without developing strong tri's?

I personally feel that my tri's get worked enough by me doing my other bodyparts. i never knew training tris was so important, and i suck at bench so thats maybe what has been holding me back, ive been training for like 6 months, so im kinda n00b. but i never ever dedicated a session to training my tris.

they dont need a whole session, just 1-2 workouts after your chest workout would work.
or do a bis+tris day and give them 3-4 workouts a piece, once you see the pump after training bi's and tri's together you'll never ignore them again.I will body slam you so f*cking hard
that you will poop your bald pants.

I never train my Tris, Bi's, Chest, or Back. They get enough exercise from typing on online forums all day...
Seriously though, I would say that I work my Tris more than any other muscle on my body. You have to. Nothing says, "He doesn't know what he's doing" quite like a biceps pose that has nothing underneath the bicep."The chase is better than the catch."

I don't train my triceps occasionally, if I want them to get smaller, or, not grow anymore.
They are probably my best bodypart, and sometimes get overpowering in terms of size (makes delts look smaller) and strength ("take over" my presses)
For me, the "compounds take care of them" CERTAINLY doesn't work.

i dont understand why you wouldnt train them even 1-2 exercises would do them as they are a small bodt part.
the tricep makes upto 2/3 of the upper arms, train every muscle in the body equally to gain 100%symerty (if thats the word lol)
not working the triceps is like having a di<k and never using it!Age: 22yrs old

I don't do any direct triceps work right now, but that's b/c I have tendonitis of the triceps tendon. I think you can get enough stimulation for growth with pressing motions, but you have to get some direct training for optimal results.

okay, straight up, if you arent injured in anyway and you call yourself a bodybuilder or lifter and you ignore your triceps, check yourself

I can't believe this crap.
How long have you been "working out"? Sounds like you don't have a friggin clue as to the fundamentals of weight training. Read a book or something.Every journey begins with a single step.

I throw in just 2 sets of close grip and 2 sets of reverse grip bench at the end of my back session. I figure, between that, chest once a week, and shoulder pressing twice a week, they are getting enough. I don't feel like I'm sacrificing any size by not giving them a 12 set workout of their own. Unless 18" and growing arms is considered a sacrifice to some people.
