Aren't you tired of the "No homo" thing?
Relatively new to this website and as a non american - I've never seen this phenomenon of hetrosexual men having to constantly prove their hetrosexuality. I could maybe understand this phrase being added after a compliment on someone looks (again i say maybe because among ladies - it's never considered a lesbian sign to say that another girl is hot), but in most cases in this forum I couldnt even find the link or reasoning for the additional "no homo".
I've collected a few examples :

Because its funny, and a lot of us from the usa have a different social culture of how men are suppose to treat other men. Its very macho, high confidence and intolerance for signs of weakness. We also tend to enjoy more open confrontations and competition so a lot of our "insults" are said in friendly nature.
Its not being insecure its just living up to a certain image/code of manliness still popular in the usa and many other countries.
