    Most Effective Weight Gainer?

I'm looking for the most effective weight gainer. Obviously want something that taste good and hopefully mixes well. I don't however want something with creatine or sucralose in it.

    Thanks

Controlling what you put into a gainer is always a good idea. I recommend mixing some Whey, Milk, Oats, and some Natural Peanut Butter or Almond Butter in a blender and drinking that.

If by effective, you mean the best for just putting on weight, I would say that would be ice cream. Eat it before bed for maximum results.

heh thanks for all the quick replies but sorry that i didn't make myself clear for some of you I'm looking for a weight gainer supplement to add on to meals such as steak.

The Universal Real Gains has sucralose which i don't want

    The Pro-Lab looks pretty good

anybody else have any other suggestions or thoughts bout the Pro-Lab N-Large II?

    Thanks

what if you replace the 1-2 scoops of whey with a weight gainer w/ whey? would the results be even greater?

If you want to use a weight gainer instead of whey protein I don't see an issue. Just make sure that you are monitoring your progress because that could end up being a lot of excess calories.

If 1/2 cup of maltodextrin is considered low sugar then I missed the memo.

Edit- 2-4 tbsp of peanut butter is going to be 16-32 g of fat. How is that considered low fat?

1/2 cup of maltodextrin is only 2g of sugar, buddy.

Edit- 2-4 tbsp of peanut butter is going to be 16-32 g of fat. How is that considered low fat?
I should have emphasized that I never use 4 tbsp of peanut butter. I only use 2 because it gives me too much gas and it would add more fat to the weight gainer..BUT if you're seriously trying to bulk, the fat that peanut butter provides is NOT going to hurt..My weight gainer has 1,000+ calories/76+ g of protein/30-35g of fat/~30g of sugar

Maltodextrin is listed as a "complex" carb due to structure but it acts just like dextrose.

I knew that it was still a fast acting carb regardless of its "complex" structure, but is that a bad thing for my weight gainer?

Check out "supercarb" from Avant labs, that is if you insist on using a powder.

Otherwise use fruit as the carb source and mix with a blender.

The benefit is in the macro nutrients... which are non-existent in your powders.

No, all store weight gainers contain maltodextrin because it is cheap. It is really easy to consume 50 grams of carbs from maltodextrin than it is to consume the same amount of carbs using oats. If you want to go the healthier way then oats would be your best bet.

But fruit isn't complex carbs either, right?
