pre workout fats question

I wake up at 9 and have my pre workout/b fast which consists of 80g of carbs and 35g of protein in the form of whey/casein/oats. I work out at 10...can I get away with 8g of peanut butter in the morning an hour pre workout? I AM bulking but I do want to minimize fat gains, will the fat at this time be a bad idea? Thanks

Ideally you want to consume carbs and protein first thing to halt the cortisol effects from your nights sleep and have fuel for a good workout. Fat will slow this effect, so save the peanut butter for your ppwo meal. Consuming fat preworkout in conjuction with carbs will not be used as fuel anyway, another reason to leave it out.

Probably should keep the sum total of fat < 5-10 grams - and it's not for anything related to the fallacy of it turning to fat.

He probably has more than that in the oats+whey. 80g of carbs from oats = 1 1/5 cups ~10g fat, 80g carb 20g protein.

15g of protein from the whey+casein I guess?

I wouldn't worry too much about 8g of PB though - adding 3-4g of fat to that amount of carbs and calories.
