It's Ohio State vs. Michigan Week!!!
I watched the HBO documentary on Ohio State vs. Michigan "The Rivalry" last night and it got me fired up for the game this weekend. For anyone that doubts this is the best rivalry in college football, just watch the documentary and you'll understand it's more than just a game.
Both teams are coming of tough loses last week and it's taken the steam out of the game a little bit but remember, the Big 10 championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl is still on the line. I know the majority of posters on the board are OSU bashers but putting the bias aside, who do you give the edge to in this one?
I say it depends on the health of Henne... I can't see a true frosh QB beating OSU in this game. If Henne is healthy, OSU might be in trouble after being deflated with the lost last week. I predict a close one... Henne can't get through the 3rd quarter and OSU scores late to win 27-24.

Given UoM's performance vs my Badgers last week, I think OSU will pretty handily hand UoM their asses.
Though, I wish they could both lose..

Badgers played without PJ Hill most of the game also. They were also missing 5 starters.
nice try though. UoM sucks balls this year.
Maybe with Carr gone next season I'll show that program more respect.

There is no one of Henne/Hart's caliber on Wisconsin's offense.... PJ Hill is easily replaced. They beat Michigan in a game that didn't matter. If it mattered, Henne and Hart would have been in the game laying an ass whoopin down.

OK Kirby Michigan hasn't given a asswhoppin to anyone but Notre Dame (who hasn't done that lol) you could easily have 5 losses without lucky bounces. You guys suck and the main reason Big 10 has no respect this year.

What's this you? I'm not on the team. They could also have easily made that fieldgoal to beat the div 2 team and only have one loss to oregon. Lucky bounces are part of every teams wins and losses... go watch baseball.

LLOYD CARR IS NOT GETTING FIRED. I AM NEGGING FOREVER THE NEXT PERSON WHO SAYS SO.
Having said that, if they should fire anybody, it should be the athletic director for scheduling App St and Oregon on the first two weeks of the season. That was an utterly retarded move that cast a shadow over the entire season. Mike Hart is going to have an amazing game, as usual. And Henne is going to hit Manningham at least twice for 30+ yard games. This game is going to come down to whether OSU's offense can put up enough points, because there is no way that their depleted secondary can stop Manningham, Arrington, and Hart.

If the div 2 would have stayed with their game plan instead of trying to run out the clock they would have won by 14

I'll be in Ann Arbor for the game. Planning on not being very sober for most of the afternoon.

Well him retiring is one thing but he is not getting fired. Take out the OSU/Michigan games of late and he's still a very, very successful coach.
Honestly, I hope they win it because if this does end up being his last year as a coach, he deserves to go out with a win over OSU and Tressel.

Could be an effective motivation technique considering he may be forced out if they lose. This way he goes out on his own terms win or lose.
I can see it now... all the Michigan players wearing headbands with "Lloyd" witten on them... just like with Earl Bruce in 1987, whose firing was imminent heading into his final game where he beat heavily favored Michigan 23-20 in Ann Arbor. His players wore headbands with "Earle" written on them for that last game.

As a Buckeye fan I was a huge Bo fan... great coach and man (an Ohio Man at Heart). Reminds me of a funny joke I heard...
Lloyd Carr is on the Ohio 5 yard line in the closing seconds of a game tied 14 - 14 and prays for inspiration. He looks to the heavens and says "God what play should I call." God answers "throw a flat pass to the right". Lloyd calls the play and it is intercepted and returned all the way for a touchdown giving Ohio State the win. Lloyd once again looks to the heavens and says "God why did you call that play". God pauses and says "Hey Woody why did we call that play?"

Wow, great argument. They could have easily made the field goal... but yet they didn't, and they lost to an average Div 1-AA AKA Bowl Subdivision team, at home, and embarrassed every Michigan fan. Go watch baseball? Go watch figure skating idiot.

How was that retarded? Losing to App State is retarded, and having a good program on your out of conference schedule like Oregon is called having hair on your peaches (balls).

Hey, let's schedule the defending 1-AA champs as our first game and follow them up with a major PAC-10 contender. Great idea, right? Everybody (yes, everybody) schedules a tune-up game first to clear out the cobwebs and get ready for the year.
You want to make fun of somebody with a **** schedule, talk about OSU, not Michigan. Thanks.

You're an idiot. I didn't make fun of their "****" schedule. I made fun of Michigan fans complaining about losing games that they should have won. App State may be the defending 1-AA champs, keeping in mind, that's just 1-AA, but App State also isn't very good this year either. They've lost to such schools as Wofford and Georgia Southern.
