Benefits of eating Cottage cheese at night before bed?...
First post....
Just curious what the benefits were of eatin CC in at night as a last meal.
I've noticed it mentioned in a few threads and I'm just curious.
Also, would it be a benefit for someone who is trying to drop some weight?
Thanks!

Before anyone else tells you to use the search function, i'll tell you straight up that yes it will help you.
It has Casein which is a slow-digesting protein, which means, while you sleep your body will be able to keep using it, rather than being hungry for 8 hours.
Use the search function and you'll find plenty of info.

Yup yup...
The casein protein in cottage cheese, when combined with your stomach enzymes and acids, will turn into a jello-like substance. This makes it absorb slower into the bloodstream thus making it available to your body for longer periods of time.

I don't eat carbs after 3 pm but still eat cottage cheese an hour before bed. I think the carb content is neligible when compared to its other benefits.

Yeah, good idea, but you can actually eat carbs until 6:47, after that carbs turn immediately to fat.

Yeah, once I ate a banana at 6:45 and had to hurry up because i knew in two minutes it would turn to fat

Agreed. Don't pass up on the cottage cheese. It's one of the best foods you could eat before bed to help feed your muscles during your slumber.
1 cup of milk:
12g carbs
8g protein
1 cup of cottage cheese:
8-10g carbs
26g protein

WTF does this say?
The above statement/post does not represent the opinions of anyone in real life. This is the internet. Not real life. Anyone who cannot grasp the difference between the two lacks the basic intelligence necessary for survival and should not be allowed to form opinions.

I'm not sure I can warrant a legitimate response to that question.

Cottage cheese
Yes eat it every night. Problem is I find myself at the grocery store almost 3 times a week buying it & peanut butter. Easy quik and taste awesome.
I just had a cup - but I also just ate a huge bowl of lactose free ice cream. So good. I've done that 4 night in a row gallon is gone
