Udo's Digestive Enzymes

Has anyone tried Udo's Digestive Enzymes? Does it help with bloating from your experience? Or, if you've tried another supplement that helped stomach bloating, please let me know.

Thanks!

I haven't used that brand although I have used some of there other products but yes digestive enzymes can help with bloating. So can probiotics like acidophilus.

Unfortunately, I can't take the pill as I've had breast cancer. I'm on a drug called Tamoxifen (Nolvadex) which affects the estrogen in my body, so that may be one of the problems. I was really hoping to find a supplement that could help me out. I look like I'm pregnant sometimes!

Also, do digestive enzymes make you more "regular" as opposed to using a fiber/laxative?

actually a serm like nolvadex should relieve estrogen caused symptoms......ive also heard of increasing your fiber intake to help reduce bloating as well.

oh and huge congrats on surviving breast cancer!

Thanks punksurfer!

I get a decent amount of fiber in my diet (around 30-35 grams). Should I get a supplement like psyllium husk(spelling?)? I was under the impression that something like that would make me bloated though.

if your getting 30-35 grams i wouldnt bother with psyllium husk, this is more to supplement fiber into diet for ppl whose diet isnt high in it. definatly go with the probiotics and enzymes though, for the price its worth a shot....besides the effects on digestive health and immunity are worth it even if it doesnt help the bloat. good luck!
