I think the best exercises to measure brute strength are squat/dead/military/pullups/dips then maybe bench
squat/bench/dead are the big 3 lifts used in powerlifting though, clean & jerk/snatch in olympic liftingI love it when a mod makes a post in a thread, and instantly a bunch of other posters in the thread suck his dick. Thats f*ckin funny.

The main exercises one should do are bench press, squat, deadlifts, pullups, dips, bent over rows, and overheard press. You should really focus your routine on these movements and maybe add in a few isolation exercises for accessory work.My Training Journal...

Anyway, besides the big 3 I'd prefer a pullup over a military. The bench can build the shoulders and tris better than a deadlift can the back/bis so I would say the pullup for more back work if I had to choose 4 exercises for the rest of my life- Kevin

Is there no one on this entire forum that would agree with me that Legpress is one of the great measurements of brute strength. I mean you could probably put up more weight on a Legpress than any other single exercise out there and no one better say squats because you automatically can Legpress more than you can squat.
