I'm with you on this one. I don't see how anyone could call Shawn Ray, Dexter Jackson, Darrem Charles or Jay Culter underrated. Ahmed has been slipping, but thats b/c he's not able to duplicate his previous bests.

I have always like Troy Alves and Johnnie Jackson (sick traps)

I think that Gunter is the most overrated

That's true Bob - I guess I was taking the 'underrated' thing a bit too lightly. I really wanted to see Shawn Ray as Mr. O, I really feel he deserved it. His placings have been pretty great, 13 Top 5 Olympia isn't too shabby.

There definately are some great underrated bodybuilders out there not gettin' what they deserve. I hope soon they will be better recognized.

WOW, pretty pumped that Bob Chick wrote something in my thread...lol..o geez...thats wicked tho...

Bob, if you do read this why do you think Garret Downning is the most underrated?

IMO I think David Henry or Troy Alves...They are fairly new especially David, but those guys look great all around, conditioning, symmetery, etc...

And I also like Heiko...I cant spell his last name...He gets in great condition IMO but can never get rightful placings...

    Great posts everyone...sweet stuff

I think the question was asked with the intent of judging the bodybuilders in question general level of respect from the online bodybuilding fans and print publications. So, you take a guy like Ahmed and his high placings yet he doesn't seem to command the respect from the fans or magzines that a Jay Cutler or Dexter Jackson do.

Come on, obviously Greg Kovacs..hahaha...I would have to go w/ Johnny Jackson, although his conditioning had been off till late. Lee Priest is a good vote, but he finally just got his legs to dial in prior to the Aus Pro. Victor Martinez is the ****, future Mr. O. Watch out!

The reason I sad Darremn is because very few talk about him on here, not about his placings. I do agree that he is up and rising though.

I think that Dexter's back is pretty damn good. IMO, the only weak point that Dexter has are maybe calves, but they don't seem to matter much. His package that he brought to the Arnold was exceptional. He was bigger than ever while maintaining near the same conditioning he's always had.

Everyone who is saying Ahmad Haidar, I don't agree with. Outside of his abs, I think his physique is sub-par compared to other top pros. He needs to add some leg size, and bring his back, shoulders, and arms up a bit. Still a pretty good bodybuilder, but i think some other guys deserve the top spots he has gotten.

Some under-rated pros that come to mind are Johnnie Jackson, Branch Warren, Lee Priest (tho his back is weak), and Mark Dugdale.

Jay Cutler is 5'9'' and he looks like a human anvil! The guy looks amazing - and so far, he doesn't have a Ghut. Dexter Jackson is also amazing in his own way - he isn't that small now btw.

I don't understand how anyone could call Dexter's back flawed. At the O his back was superbly defined. I will admit Jay's back looked like crap.
