Heavy weights low reps or low weights more reps?

Im trying to get faster and more explosive for bball. but i also want to put on some mass and cuts. Which is better for my lifting program? more weight less reps or more reps less weight and try to give exact reps and sets

Lift heavy. More sets (i.e. 4-6) less reps (i.e. 3-8). There is no point in lifting 'light weight' in my opinion...
