Tomorrow, I am going to begin a 50 day X-Factor/Body Octane log. I am mid-bulk at the moment and will be continuing to bulk throughout the trial. This is not my first time using Body Octane but will be my first experience with X-Factor. After all the positive feedback I've seen on here about X-Factor, I decided I have to give it a try.
Diet:
I will be taking in approximately 3500 calories daily(Maintenance for me is around 2800).
- 500g carbs
- 250g protein
- 55g fat
Supplementation:
Supplements that I take currently that I will stop taking for the trial(because of X-Factor):
- Sesathin
- Fish Oil
- Glucosamine
- Chondroitin
- MSM
- Celadrin
Note: I will also be stopping creatine for at least the first half of the trial(not because of X-Factor). I am not someone who believes in cycling creatine but I have been taking some form of creatine for at least the past two years straight in my estimation. I think at some point it may be beneficial to take a short break and I figure now is as good a time as any. I may start taking creatine again during the second half of the trial(I'm leaning towards Clout), but am not sure yet.
Supplements that I take currently that I will be continuing during the trial:
- Whey
- Multi
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin C
- Diphenhydramine HCL (sleep aid - taken occasionally)
Edit: There were a few supps I forgot when I first wrote this. Here they are:
- Insopro-R(R-ALA)
- ZMA
- Amp(occassionally)
Tomorrow morning I am going to take exact measurements and I will post them. I am also going to do the same thing on the morning of day 51. I am not sure at this point how to post pics on the net, but I will be taking before/after pics and I promise I will get them on here at some point. I will also post some info on my training, background, and the weights of some of my recent lifts tomorrow. If anyone has any questions/suggestions for the trial/log, feel free to post them on here and I will address them when I can.

Rest of Intro
First off, there were a few supps that I forgot about yesterday that I take. I added them to the list in my first post.
Measurements and Picture:
I took a before picture this morning with a digital camera, so I've got the before picture stored in there. If someone could PM me with detailed instructions about how to get the pic from the digital camera onto the forum I would really appreciate it(I honestly don't have the slightest idea how to post pictures on the net). I also took some measurements. Here they are:
Height: 5 feet 9 inches
Weight: 180.5 lbs.
Chest: 41.5 inches
Waist: 34.75
Bicep(unflexed): 13.75
Bicep(flexed): 16.25
Neck: 16
Training:
I workout at my house only using free weights. It's not that I only like using free weights; it's just that's all I have available to me here. Due to a history of knee injuries(one of them fairly recent), I will only be working out my upper body through this trial. The type of training I do at this time is nothing special(60-75 seconds between sets; 2-3 minutes between exercises). I am limited to walking on the treadmill at 3.5-4.0 mph for cardio due to my knee. I often do some cardio on off days and occassionally following weight training sessions. The amount of cardio I do will be regulated by how my knees feel. Due to the increased soreness of X-Factor, cardio may be cut fairly short later on.
Here are the recent weights I've used on some of the exercises I will be performing throughout the trial. I will give this same info at the end of trial to gauge strength gains:
Barbell Bench Press: 220 lbs x 12, 9, 7 reps
Incline Dumbbell Bench Press: 80 x 11, 9, 7
Barbell Curl: 120 x 11, 8, 6
Barbell Military Press: 135 x 12, 10, 8
Seated Dumbbell Shrugs: 90 x 12, 9, 7
Dumbbell Lateral Raise: 30 x 11, 8, 6
Barbell Reverse Grip Bench Press: 160 x 11, 9, 7
Background:
I have been weight training for the past four years. During most of that period, I was training mainly as a strength athlete for college baseball. It's not that I didn't care how my body looked, it's just that strength was my major focus during that time. I don't think I had ever done a set of more than 6 reps until April of this year when I began bodybuilding(when baseball ended). I graduated in May with a BS in Accounting and I am now working as an accountant. Obviously, since I work as an accountant from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, I no longer have a whole lot of physical activity outside of training. I'm not sure if I would be giving X-Factor a try if my daily life was still full of physical activity(due to the increased soreness), so I think I am in a good spot at this time to give this a run.
Dosages:
- Body Octane will be taken first thing in the morning and 30 minutes preworkout.
- I have the new X-Factor(250 mg pills). I have decided to start out taking four daily. The approximate times I will take a pill each day are 6am, noon, 5pm, and 9pm. I usually train around 6:30pm. If there are better times to take it each day, please let me know.
First Day:
Today was my first day on the stack. I trained traps/abs/forearms. There is nothing of interest to report yet. Tomorrow is an off day and will just be some cardio.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttt!!!!!!!!! I am thinking of doing this stack after my pct in an upcoming Ergo cycle. Good luck!!!!
Two things:1. I have read that it is ok to take joint supps while on X-Factor(although I may be wrong)
2. With Clout I believe there may be a problem because of the NAC in it. I would post a question in Loki's review thread about this combo because he is quite versed on it.[ANS Performance Representative]

I would defer to Loki or JRod on this issue as I am not sure how the amount of NAC in Clout compares to Leptigen Mass.If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.

You will love body octane. I used it mainly for endurance purposes as I took mine in the a.m. and 30 mins pre-evening cardio, and absolutely tore through my HIIT/cardio times. Anyway, good luck...

DWM: Just curious, what made you want to take body octane pre-lifting? Are you taking body octane pre-cardio on your non-lifting days? I ask because not too many people here have taken b.o. that I've noticed (but it's an awesome supp) and I've found the ones that do- take it pre-cardio... so this is why I'm asking what made you want to take it pre-lifting?

2. I am a very big fan of Citrulline Malate in general(before aerobic and anaerobic exercise). CM gives me the same sort of pump as the other NO boosters but also makes my workouts go a little easier. I feel like it really makes a difference in the latter part of my workouts. It can also be found in bulk on the net for a very good price (less than ten cents per gram) with a little searching. It is definitely worth purchasing at that price.
Also, I do take Body Octane pre-cardio on days that I don't lift. I guess I forgot to mention that earlier. And this is not my first time using Body Octane so I have felt its benefits in the gym before(I'm not completely talking out of my ass ).

Day 3
Weight: 181
Great biceps/delts workout today. Every exercise went up at least one rep. This is probably attributed more to the Body Octane at this point IMO. I also haven't noticed any out of the ordinary soreness or anything like that. I did 15 minutes of cardio after my workout and during the last few minutes I got extremely warm and felt like I had a sharp rise in body temperature. I also began sweating very heavily. It was odd but the feeling quickly subsided when I got off the treadmill.

Day 4
I didn't expect to feel any effects from X-Factor this early, but there was definitely an abnormal amount of soreness in my biceps today. They also feel a little fuller. I am not positive this is from X-Factor, but I am not sure what else to attribute it to. Anyway, the knees are still feeling pretty good along with all other joints.
Chest/triceps training went very well today. I did not have gains in every exercise like yesterday, but I did have at least one rep gains in most of them. I did 15 minutes of cardio postworkout again and felt the same sort of increased body heat and sweating that I felt yesterday. I did notice a small weird pain in the top of my foot during cardio, but it was no more than an annoyance.
Question: Does anyone know of any OTC pain relievers that I can use that are okay to take with X-Factor(not anti-inflammatories, etc.)? I have not needed any yet, but I'm not sure what to do if I get a bad headache or some joint pain later on? I will just put up with it if I have to, but if I have any options I would like to know what they are.

Good News:
I wouldn't post this if I wasn't going to post pictures up later on to back it up because I wouldn't expect you guys to believe it. My biceps have grown 1/2 inch unflexed and 1/4 inch flexed already. After I got home from work and took off my work clothes I noticed how big my arms looked in the mirror. I asked my girlfriend if they looked bigger and she agreed so we measured them. 14.25 unflexed and 16.5 flexed(don't worry, it was the same tape measure as before).
Bad News:
I have been having pretty bad muscle pains in my upper right thigh all day. If anyone can help me out with my question from yesterday I would really appreciate it. I started a thread in the supp section with the same question so hopefully I'll get some help in there.
I'll update later after I lift.

You are right about the sweating. It is continuing and is really bad at night also.

Day 5
I lifted back today and had another great workout. I very rarely get a good pump in my back but the pump I had today was very solid. All exercises went up at least one rep. I usually don't lift three days in a row(especially when I'm only doing upper body) but I was pretty fired up after measuring my arms so I gave it a go. I also did 15 minutes of cardio again and the insane sweating continued. My thigh does feel a lot better right now so maybe the activity helped it some. There was also no pain in my foot today.
Notes: I will be taking a complete off day tomorrow(no lifting, no cardio) as I feel I need it after the last three days. I will still give an update(weight, etc.). I have decided to also take pics and measurements at the halfway point, day 25, before I add creatine back to the mix.

Day 6 (OFF DAY)
Weight: 182.5 lbs
Side effects I'm noticing(or not noticing):
- My arms, back, and chest feel pumped throughout the entire day. I am definitely feeling and looking fuller.
- My thighs are still killing me. The pain comes and goes. When it comes, the only thing that seems to help is walking around. I personally believe it has something to do with circulation, but there is no way of knowing for sure. I am able to deal with it throughout the day, but it does make it difficult to get to sleep. I will probably have to take a pain reliever at night if it persists, but will try to keep the pain reliever use to a minimum.
- There is a lot of sweating during activity.
- Sleeping patterns have been irregular. I am waking up a lot during the night, but was not having trouble getting back to sleep until my legs started hurting. I am also sweating very much when sleeping.
- My joints feel fine so far. Interestingly, my knees(the one thing I was really worried about going into this) have had no abnormal pain whatsoever.
- I have not experienced any X-Factor burps which I have heard some people mention having. If they are anything like fish oil burps I am glad I am not experiencing them.
Well, that's all that's coming to my mind right now. If I think off anything else, I will add it in tonight.
