problems with starting bodybuilding

I have been a runner for about 15 years, but I recently wanted to do more shaping and have started a more weight lifting centric program. I have only been at it a few weeks (and like the work-outs), but now I am really beat during the day and even find myself more irritable. Is this an initial phase or should I be adding something to my program?

My goal was weight loss...

And I had real trouble with post-workout crash & burn. Basically it came down to diet. Eating the right amount of calories, distributed throughout the day, with the right breakdown of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.

Here was my initial post: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=955515

Here was my attempt at correcting my diet:

Pretty much worked too!

x2. Diet makes all the difference.

Are you still running? You may be doing too much of that, as well. You might have to back off it and then add it back in as your body gets used to the new activity.
