For those of you that have competed

I'm prepping for my first show now. How detrimental is it to have a SMALL bite of something? For example, last night I was being tortured as I watched my boyfriend down a pint of Half Baked B&J ice cream. I gave in and had 1/2 a tsp. It wasn't a big bite at all. Thoughts?

1/2 tsp??? I'm sure this does not make a difference at all.
What I'm wondering is how can you only have 1/2 tsp?

If you can eat cheats in this quantity and are satified, consider yourself the luckiest person.

I just let it sit in my mouth a bit before I swallowed. Amazingly, that satisfied me and I was able to walk away.

I think everyone does it differently. Honestly...when I'm dieting for a competion I stay away from it all. I don't have any bites of anything. It's hard at first but then you just tend to forget about it. I have kids and a husband who eat Ben & Jerry ice cream pretty much on a regular basis and I have to cook for them too. I even tell them to stop me if I ever want to give in. Personally I am a believer that those small little bites really add up.
