is there a best fish oil? or are there good brands that benefit over others?

if fish oil is really just fish oil and no brand have an advantage over the other then cant just go to the local dollar store and get them for 2 bux?

I think "NOW" has a great product. SAN also has one (Triple Strength Fish Fats), although it's rather pricey.

I take Halibut Fish Oil. Cheapest stuff in the bin, and I honestly don't know if it's doing what it's supposed to or not, but it tastes fishy, and oily, so I assume it's actually Fish Oil.

I recommend this one: http://www.ascentahealth.com/Products/NutraSeaHP.html but if you want to check a few others there is this website http://www.nutrasource.ca/ifos_new/i...n=ifosconsumer which compares the best available.

    Cool

Try to find a respectable brand with a high EPA/DHA concentration. S.A.N. has one as does Kilo Sports and N.O.W.. I know Costco has one too, which you can pick up if you're a member.

When choosing fish oil there are a lot of things to consider, apart from EPA/DHA mainly contaminants content like mercury, PCB's, arsenic, cadmium, nickel lead and oxidation (product's stability). I wouldn’t take anything that is not listed on the second website, because most likely will do more harm then good.

So they will do harm then do good?
Seriously folks, do they not teach how to properly use then and than in school anymore. I don't think I've ever seen them used correctly on any message board. It's just a pet peeve of mine.
Sorry for the hijack. Back to your regularly scheduled program.
I got a fever, and the only prescription is...more cowbell!
