    supplements prices?

    i was just checking my usual shop i get protein at, and i realised the prices have went up a few pound. is this the same everywhere?

    Prices are going to keep going up. The demand these days for a tub of protein...its guna keep stirring for higher prices i'm afraid. Ive actually stocked up for atleast 6 months.

    The price of whey is definitely going up. I know that Scivation has discontinued making their whey because of the rising prices. They were actually losing money by making it.

    Corn prices are going up due to increased demand for ethanol. Cow farmers are spending more on corn therefore must raise the cost of their products. Supplement companies are paying more for the whey and therefore we pay more.

    Not just the increased demand for ethanol; the past few years have been sub-par in terms of corn and soybean yields, both of which are foodstock for cows. I'd expect prices to normalize a bit next summer if the crops are good.
