    Meal after cardio?

    Hi everybody, I was wondering if, after doing a 15 min HIIT session I need to consume a meal directly afterwards or if I can wait an hour or two. By the way I am trying to bulk.

    eat ASAP after the HIIT...make sure ur gettin plenty of carbs/protien during this meal...very important

    2 hrs is way too long to wait...

    ^^^ exactly. treat post-HIIT/cardio nutrition just like post-lifting nutrition. have a meal with a 2:1-4:1 carb to protein ratio. example, 100g of carbs from oats and 50g of protein from whey.

    pre-HIIT/cardio: whey+BCAA's

    post-HIIT/cardio: whey(or other fast digesting protein food source)+complex carb(i.e. oats)

    why bother, just have carbs, those proteins are only going to be converted to glucose via gluconeogenisis anyway
