Bammy's -Green Bulge- Log
Controlled Labs Green Bulge log. I expect very good things from this product,
1. because White Blood is awesome and Controlled Labs is a top notch company, and
2. because White Blood and Green Bulge share some ingredients such as AEE and K-RALA.
My Stats:
Age: 22
Weight: 172
Height: 6 ft.
BF: 9.5%
Best lifts:
DL – 385 x 1
Db bench – 90s x 8
ATG squat – 245 x 2
Leg press – 710 x 8
Goals:
Gain strength and mass while keeping bodyfat stable, or at least under 10%. I would like to get up to a morning weight of 177; where I used to be a few months ago. Deadlifting 405 has been a goal of mine for a while, but after a few setbacks (sickness, hand stitches), it seems far off. But, by the end of a month on Green Bulge, who knows?
Current Supplements:
Substance WPI
Dymatize Elite whey
Dymatize Mega Milk
Syntrax Matrix 5.0
Dextrose
Centrum Multi Vitamin
Vitamin C 500mg
EFA gelcaps
Other creatine products/ingredients I have used:
NOS Ether
Burst
CEX
plain CEE
Swole V2

Day 1:
Pre workout: 5 caps 45 min. before workout
Workout - Back, Biceps
bb rows:
8 x 95
9 x 135
9 x 135
9 x 145
9 x 145
wide chins (bodyweight, then using assisted pullup machine after failure):
9, 4@-25, 4@-50
8, 4@-25, 4@-50
7, 4@-25, 4@-50
lat shrugs:
10 x 325
11 x 325
11 x 325
EZ bar curl:
3 x 8 x 85
1 arm db preacher curl:
3 x 6 x 25
1 arm high cable curl: (done on Nautilus cable machine)
3 x 10 x 80
I noticed good strength increases in bb rows, and mild increases in a few other exercises. I got great lat pumps too. Pumped more than usual after the rows, and pretty tight after the chins.
Deads on next back day.

Not noticing all that much yet. Still, a good workout with slightly increasing reps/weight. I looked very full after the workout, lats and bis still feel volumized since yesterday. Thats all so far.

Day 3:
Pre workout: 5 caps 35 min. before workout
Workout - Legs
ATG squat:
8 x 155
8 x 155
7 x 225
Leg Press:
9 x 710
9 x 710
12 x 710
1 leg curl:
3 x 8 x 100
GHR:
12
12
10
calf press on leg press:
3 x 20 x 270
ss w/
seated calf raise:
16 x 100
16 x 100
20 x 100
Well, I didn't have much improvement with squats, but once I got on to leg press, it felt much easier than I though it would. I was feeling pretty strong and decided to go to 100lbs for the 1 leg curl, up from 90 last week. After the GHRs I had a mean pump in my hams. I also added a good # of reps to the calf exercises.
Usually after a leg day, my upper body looks depleted and flat. Today, I still looked full. Green Bulge seems great for volumizing.

Day 4:
Quick Update:
This morning I woke up with my legs feeling full and dense, as if I'd just finished a workout or had a carb-rich meal.

Day 4:
Pre workout: 5 caps 40 min. before workout
Workout - Chest & Tris
bb flat bench:
10 x 95
10 x 135
8 x 155
4 x 175
db incline bench:
3 x 8 x 60s
low cable fly:
3 x 10 x 95
s w/
mid cable fly:
3 x 8 x 110
overhead 1 arm db ext.:
3 x 8 x 30
v-bar press(lunge):
3 x 12 x 130
behind back rope pressdown:
3 x 10 x 140
bench dips:
33
Strength is feeling better that average, and I feel ambitious in the gym lately. The pumps I get during workouts are similar to White Blood, but slightly less intense. All in all very good feeling. Doing bench dips even made my freakin lats pump up. My workout ended 1.5 hrs. ago and my chest still feels very full.
At this point, I want to compare the effects to White Blood. White Blood produces incredibly stong pumps during workouts, and for a while after. With Green Bulge, I feel a very good pump during the workout, but also volumized all day and never flat. Maybe its the Taurine Ethyl Ester. I have never felt so constantly volumized all day with anything else.

Day 5:
Pre workout: 5 caps 45 min. before workout
Workout - Back, Biceps
Deadlift:
8 x 185
8 x 225
8 x 275
4 x 335
1 x 365
fail x 405
underhand chins:
3 x 10
cable rows:
3 x 10 x 160
incline db curls:
3 x 16 x 30s
1 arm high cable curl:
3 x 11 x 80
I was loving the deads today so I said f it lets go for 405. Well, I got about 1/2 the way up and my back rounded, so I had to set it down. So close! Now my back feels pretty strained along the left side of my spine. I have never gone for a deadlift and failed half-way up. I do feel that I will be able to get it in a few weeks though.
The rest of my workout went very well. The pumps today felt stronger than ever, those cable curls were bringing the pain.

Hey bammy, great log and nice lifts keep it up. Just a quick question i see you are taking GB usually 40-45mins pre-WO, this is on an empty stomach I am assuming? Just wondering when you consume your pre-WO meal? 90 mins pre-WO then 45 mins you take then GB? Thanks

Acctually I take my shake pretty much right with the caps. I assume that by the time the caps all disinegrate the shake is out of my stomach. I have a very fast metabolism.

Hmm interesting. Ok well thank you for the response. Also to any others who have used GB did you take GB on an empty stomach and when did you have your pre-WO meal. Bammy I hope you don't mind me asking this question in your log, if you do i'll take it out.

Good log Bammy,
You've got some good strength in your lower body. Our upper body strength seems to be similar but you've got me killed on lower body. Good luck with 405!

Yeah, deads and leg press are my specialties. I've always had good thighs ever since I was a baby, you can tell in the pictures. The rest of me was naturally stick-like.

Day 6:
Pre workout: 5 caps 30 min. before workout
Workout - Delts, traps
bb press:
10 x 95
8 x 115
8 x 140
4 x 150
db rear delt raises:
3 x 11 x 30
cable laterals:
3 x 10 x 30
bb behind back shrugs:
3 x 11 x 250
db shrugs: (drops)
13 x 75, 13 x 60, 13 x 45
This morning I wasn't really in the mood to lift. I was out of milk too and cereal sucks with water. But once I got in the gym I felt good and strong. I had a short workout because I didn't have a whole lot of time before my next client showed up. I am definitely gaining strength faster than normal. Added 5 lbs to bb press, bb shrugs, rear lats. Also veins are showing more, I noticed them looking bigger in my traps while changing, and also saw some new veins in my delts when doing curls yesterday. So far, I'm only noticing the extra vascularity around workouts.

Day 7:
Pre workout: 5 caps 30 min. before workout
Workout - Abs, forearms, cardio
Tri-set of:
cable crunch:
3 x 15 x 190
hanging leg raise:
3 x 12
swiss ball crunch:
3 x 14
rev. bb curls:
3 x 10 x 60
ss w/
bb behind back wrist curl
3 x 7-7 x 145
HIIT cardio: 11 min., 8 to 10 mph.
Didn't get much sleep last night, I was out late and got up early for an apointment. I was tired so I got in some of the little easier things that I neglect instead of a leg day.
I noticed great vascularity and pumps in my forearms. I also got a pretty annoying lower back pumps during the cardio, that I think was worse due to the fact that I'm still very sore from back day. I will weigh in tomorrow.

Day 8:
Pre workout: 5 caps 30 min. before workout
Workout - Legs
ATG squat:
20 x 155
20 x 155 (last 10 reps, I was in hell)
Leg Press:
8 x 720
8 x 720
11 x 720
1 leg curl:
3 x 9 x 100
calf press on leg press:
3 x 20 x 290
seated calf raise:
18 x 100
18 x 100
20 x 100
Weight this morning: 173, up 1 lb.
Today's workout was great, everything went as planned. Every time I have done 20 repper in the past I have either gotten very nautious or puked. Today I felt fine; out of breath like I ran a marathon, of course, but not sick. I even went on to get 8 plates a side on the leg press. Yup very good leg day, i was just waiting for the pukey feeling to come and it never did. Sweet.

Way better than Swole v2. That stuff gave me the worst water retention. So far, I can easily say that I like Green Bulge better than any other creatine product I have tried, except maybe NOS Ether. I can make that judgement later.

I had an OK workout, but not the best. I have had this deep down tiredness the past two days that I can't shake. Plus we have this annoying little kid that works at the gym and I don't know why he was ever hired in the first place. All he does is try to break my concentration, he talks to me in the middle of sets and in between sets, even when I tell him to go away. I hate that kid and if he wasn't a minor I would throw him face first into the dumbell rack.
But Green Bulge is still good stuff great chest pump, and increasing endurance, that would have been even better if I wasn't interrupted while lifting.

Day 10:
Pre workout: 5 caps 35 min. before workout
Workout - Back, Biceps
Rack Deadlift (2 inches below knee):
8 x 135
8 x 315
3 x 405
3 x 405
bb rows:
10 x 135
10 x 145
10 x 145
hammer chins:
3 x 8
1 arm pulldown:
2 x 12 x 110
EZ bar curl:
3 x 9 x 85
db curls:
3 x 16 x 35s
1 arm high cable curl:
3 x 12 x 80
This was my first time doing rack deads. It definitely felt heavy as hell, but less taxing overall than deads from the floor. I am doing these to strengthen the upper portion of the deadlift movement since thats where I failed when I attempted 405.
Workout was great, I am getting stronger every day. And I am still waking up with denser muscles. This morning I woke up starving, but my hamstrings (especially) felt so hard. I ussually feel depleted in the mornings but its not that way with Green Bulge.
