    Bulking to 230....

    Do you guys think it is possible for me to bulk to 230 at 15-20% bf for this time next year???? I weigh 205 now and need to gain some mass in order to get better at the truck pull event in strongman comps.

    Also, I will post more pics when I hit 210 (a short term goal!).

    Yeah, I haven't grown in height for a while, but my bones are still developing (thickening)... so i can't see why not!

    I recommend you eat dirty for 8-9 months during the next year. The extra bit of fat you add will be worth it in the end when you decide to start cutting. What BF do you plan on competing at next year i'm guessing somewhere between 12-15%?

    The competition is strongman, not BB (so there is no point cutting!!!), I am eating dirty right now aswell (lovin' the ice cream )

    I need more bodyweight to pull bigger trucks, I am pulling 10.5ton trucks 30m in 45 secs right now, and am going for a 20ton next year hopefully.

    So bf doesn't really matter

    popeye, you must have some kind of metabolism. I saw a thing on mtv about a strongman competitor that was about 250, and about 13-15 bf%, and he barely ate 7000 calories a day!

    You do realize that when you cut you usually lose a bit of muscle, right?

    Dirty bulking is fine if you are going way over surplus with tons of protein and good carbs... I never go over 50g of fat a day, and I'm bulking... working better now than ever...

    I learned my lesson the hard way, chugging protein shakes last year with 2% milk... Milkshakes twice a week...

    Now it's just mixed with water and skim milk baby...
