Question hot bath!!!!

its winter and i love to take a shower with very hot water.......it really relaxes me and their's lots of steam in the bathroom....are their any problems of takin a very long hot water bath......i heard it dehydrates u and it makes u lose ur muscle;p hehe...any comments guys!!!

Are you joking? Having a hot bath or shower caused your veins to vasodilate (make them larger) which inturn helps all the good stuff get to your muscle quicker (in lehmans terms).

Your skin will get dry if done frequently when the humidity is very low where you live. And pretty much when it's winter the humidity will be extra low.

I notice that I get a small increase in blood flow to my muscles from showering. Nothing like actual exercise would do but it certainly wouldn't reduce your muscles any.

Just use lotion to prevent your skin from getting dry if you want to take really hot showers all the time in the winter.

takeing a warm bath or shower after working out actually HELPS you, the hormones you've released through exercise will continue to secrete until your body cools down, a cold bath or shower will retard the secretion of these hormones.

Are you retarded? Hot water causes muscle atrophy? In that case does that mean being in the hot sun also causes muscle atrophy? I heard eating bird **** causes extreme muscle growth you should try that. Seriously use your head little son.

if u have a sauna keep the fluids up. the main concern is dehydration. you should be drinkng plenty of water anyway, so shouldnt be a problem.
