I used one the other day in the gym. Honestly didn't think it would be anything more than walking at an incline on the treadmill. After 10 mins, I was soaking wet. It felt like a great workout. It's hard to explain though...I didn't feel like I worked that hard doing it, but I felt like it hit me harder than the elliptical or bike. It's like I didn't have to put as much energy in to feel the same results afterwards. Make sense? Nautilus claims it burns 2x the cals than that of a treadmill (same speed and incline). I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on this machine.

The commercial says that it's like walking in sand which is a BITCH! I get bored on the treadmill and elliptical so a new variation of the old is always welcome.

I've heard from several people that use them in a commercial application that they aren't holding up very well. You might want to look at something else for that reason. Some of the people on the Google newsgroup weren't too impressed with the durability either.

If you're going to spend that kind of money on a piece of equipment then I'd suggest a stairmill or another type of treadmill..
