    Before Bed

    What is the best thing to eat/drink before bed? To best avoid being catabolic overnight.
    Age : 18
    Height : 6' 1"
    Starting Weight : 130
    Current Weight : 165

    Goal : 220 with 10% bf

    dairy products. Muscle Milk is good to keep you goin overnite. Maybe drink a glass of milk and eat some yogurt.

    have one morning, after gym, before bed
    also take l-glutamine. With the milk/whey take it bout 1hr before bed otherwise ya can find it hard to settle

    bedtime..

    personally, i drink a MRP that contains a mixture of casein,whey,milk, and egg proteins. I mix one with about sixteen ounces of milk which adds even more casein. I also consume two tablespoons of peanut butter on two slices of whole grain bread because im looking to gain a little mass. Also...i down a tablespoon of flax seed oil to keep my hormones going and to keep my body burning fat overnight rather than muscle.

    Ive tried N Large 2 with good results but if I had to buy a weight gainer I would definitely go with Cyotgainer by Cytosport. This stuff is great because the carbs in it are complex carbs. I took this stuff for 5 months straight cutting the servings in half, yet having 4 half serving shakes a day. Great Stuff.

    milk and whey works better though, the casein (milk) slows down the whey absorption, allowing the delivery of high quality whey throughout the night. I go with 4 scoops whey in milk before bed at night.

    You want slow digesting protein(cottage cheese/casein) + 1-2 tbsp of healthy fats(natty PB and/or almonds)
