how do you guys wash your gloves and handwraps?

how do you guys wash your handwraps and gloves? whenever i wear them i get a nasty rash on my hands. should i just use soap and water? or should i use lysol or some kind of disinfectant?

i've not washed my gloves but for my hand wraps i tend to just fill a sink with warm water and put some laundry detergent in, dunk the wraps, squeeze the water out, dunk them again, etc, then get rid of the soapy water and just put normal water in to rinse the soap out, then i just hang them up to dry.

i guess you could put them in the washing machine but i fear that'll destroy the elastic, who knows?

I haven't had to wash my gloves yet...I've been just letting them air out after use.

Hand wraps and knees wraps, I wash them about once a month. I need to get a little wrap bag (fishnet type bag), but I have just been putting them in an old shirt and tying a knot in the top and bottom so they don't fall out. I don't think it's doing the best job....but they smell better then what they did.

I just throw my wraps in a sink full of laundry detergent and hang them to dry.
I spray odour eaters in my gloves and shin guards. Also I have nylons full of wood chips that I put in my gloves/shin guards to dry them out. So they smell like wood chips inside and not like ass. Works well.

Putting your gear in the freezer over night helps kill germs/mould/bacteria as well.

I put baby powder in my gloves. Seems to help. (At least with the smell.)

my gloves i either just let them dry out or spray them with a little lysol.

my hand wraps i wash everynight in the sink with a little handsoap, under warm running water.

You can wash your wraps in little mesh bags in the washing machine . They sell them at ringside, or some drug stores. Don't put them in the dryer. Hang dry.

But the sink works too.

Washing machine is fine, DO NOT put them in the dryer, the elastic will melt.

i washed my gloves once in washer/dryer...uhm...it was okay 1st time..2nd time the padded part started to fall apart inside. now i just wear them thin cotton gloves then put on my boxing gloves (kind of like wearing socks then shoes). this will help with absorbing the sweat thus not making your gloves so smelly. i also put my gloves outside of my gym bag to let it dry every training session.
