Sounds like a good anterior delt exercise, but the OP asked for upper chest.
Incline cable flyes and incline db press.

Close grip incline dumbbell press. Lay on the bench like you're doing normal incline dumbbell press but put the dumbbells next to each other (palms facing each other) and squeeze at the top of the rep.

its similar to this, but u dont cross the attachments, you pull them up from the bottom and then squeeze up, it could be my own variation.. but you will feel it ALOT in your upper pecs!

Wide grip is of outer part,u can do incline bench press(with medium and close grip),incline DB flies or incline DB press. And also do some breathing pullovers it'll give u the depth to the chest from the top.

Damn.
You can't train the 'inner' and 'outter' parts of the chest.
Someone people show me just one picture of someone with very well developed outer chest and poor inner chest? or vise versa? That right, you can't and I don't believe I've ever seen such a person with those traits.
You can train your upper chest and fully develop the muscle - therefore developing a good amount of muscle across the whole direction of the muscle fibre direction and so good inner, middle and outter development across the whole upper section..
Anything incline will do it, plus palms facing movements (incline cable crossover/ incline DB fly/press palms facing)

Only time I feel that part working most is incline with dumbells but pressing them up into a triangle like and squeezing hard at the top for a sec ..
Also feel it some doing supime like that
I only do free weights though so dunno if previous recommendations are good to go

The exercise you posted is ****, that's what I'm talking about.
You are much better off just doing a regular incline cable fly if you are working chest. The upward-and-inward pulling motion of your exercise DOES work upper chest, but the 'upward pulling part' just increases the involvement of front delt.
Idiot.

Top three exercises for gaining in the "inner-upper" chest:
1. Gain 80 lbs
2. Read an anatomy book
3. Get surgery

Incline DB flyes and Incline Cable Crossovers.
Also switch to Incline DB Presses if you haven't already.

For a HUGE majority of people...
start on a full body 3x per week, add body part volume while reducing body part frequency as you progress. It's that friggin simple. It isn't "1 bodypart every 2 weeks for 70 sets" OR "Soviet/Bulgarian each bp 10x per week using 1 exercise each". There are middle grounds.

Incline cable flyes
Low to high crossovers
Pec dec flyes, keeping elbows high, and seat low.
Narrow grip incline presses (smith machine is good for this)
Parallel grip (hammer) incline dumbbell presses.

yeah right...one paragraph of crying later...
if i knew you were so sensitive to negative rep points on an intarweb forum then i wouldnt have negged you. and you obviously dont like people telling you that you are wrong, so ill refrain from doing that aswell.
i called you out on bad advice bro, get over it. any one with half a brain and some common knowledge could tell you that you were wrong, whether they weighed 100lbs or 300lbs. grow up, you're 24.

That was one of the main questions in that thread. I would love to see somebody with a weird chest like that.
On another note, does incline DB press hit the triceps differently than flat?

Heres a trick i picked up, on dumbbell inclines, before you reach the top of the movement, begin twisting your palm so at the top of the movement your thumbs are facing your feet, this should do some damage to the upper inner and help carve out that line down the middle...

I would stick to the free weights incline flys, incline DB press etc
I personaly think that cable cross overs etc are only good for people that already have a chest, stick to the basic compound movements and you will be sweet.....remember that it takes time to build a impresive chest...
just my 2 cents worth

Incline bench press and stick with it. The interior is the thinnest portion of the pectorals and takes longer to "show up" compared to the rest of it. You're working it along with the rest of the muscle with the other movements.
