    cgpb wrist problem

I know this exercise is a plus for most people, so I have tried it multiple times, yet everytime, my wrists seem awkward, like they are bending a way they shouldnt be, in since it is CLOSE it makes your wrists bend outward...any tips?

Even though it's called close grip bench press, you're hands only need to be a couple inches closer than shoulder width to hit the triceps effectively. Sounds like you're too close.

    cgpb...CLOSE GRIP PEANUT BUTTER!

If your wrists are bent inwards your grip is too close. Keep it parallel to your shoulders imo.

I've always had great results with my wrists bent inward slightly, I usually will perform 10-12 reps to keep excess stress off my wrists, but I pretty much just suck it up and focus on pumping my triceps. BTW I perform my CGBP's on a Smith Machine w/ a Decline Bench and use a thumbless grip.

Try a 6" or so spacing, otherwise just fiddle around with your grip until you find something comfortable. As long as you keep your arms tucked, lots of grips will do.
I don't have a one track mind, theres merely leaves on the other lines.

PROPER close-grip bench width is palms over elbows (~a bit before shoulder width).

any of this like 6'', thumbs touching, 2'' apart, etc.. etc.. is just ****ing uneducated bull****.

palms over elbows is, biomechanically, the best positioning, not to mention far better on your wrists.
