What do you recommend?
If your looking for something fruit flavored I'd recommend nectar, it mixes really good with water. It is quite sweet though so as long as you are alright with that you should be good to go!

Thank's for your recommendation but nectar protein is 2 times more expensive than on's optimum! I guess I'll stick to optimum tropical fruit if nobody elses recommends me something...

True enough, it is more money. I have dymatize verry berry which tastes pretty good as well and I think it's more comparable to price as optimum.

Gold standard Rocky Road is good stuff.
I just got 2 5lb tubs of ON gold standard chocolate yesterday. It seems that they no longer add any form of sweetener to the gold standard chocolate flavor, so it tasted kind of plain compared to the regular chocolate flavor.

Personally I like VHT Real Protein for Chocolate, and Isopure ZeroCarb Alpine Punch for non-chocolate.

100% Whey Gold is good, not necessarily "best," at a relatively reasonable price. You shouldn't gain weight from whey qua whey in a good, well rounded, clean diet with adequate exercise, sleep, etc.

Using a quality WPI pre and post workout is critical. Using a protein blend supplement at all other times during the day (between meals and with meals) is also important. I like ON 100% Whey Gold Standard for pre and post workout, and Labrada ProV60 at other times.
You could mix CEE and whey in a shake, but CEE tastes pretty horrible unless its in a capsule (this is one of the reasons for putting CEE in a cap - many company owners in the industry that I know tried to flavor CEE without success). If you try taking CEE and Whey in a shake, the CEE may taste so bad that you wont want to drink it - so you might be best to get CEE in a cap if taste is a huge factor for you.

The article that you reference was ONE OF THE FIRST that I wrote over THREE YEARS AGO, and its only one of two articles that I wrote where I recommended a MuscleTech product. It's hardly fair to cite it now as being representative of my feelings and current knowledge. I dislike MuscleTech products because the are over priced and are of questionable quality. There are COUNTLESS other articles that I write where I come right out and say that I dislike MuscleTechs products - are you unable to SEARCH on the mainpage?
Here is a quote from something that I wrote that puts this issue to rest:
"Any of the big names like AST, Prolab and Labrada will ensure that you are getting a quality product. ---> Given that I consider MuscleTech to be nothing more than a propaganda machine that manufactures supplements on the side, I do not consider them to be a "big name."<---
On a personal note, I was not satisfied with cell-tech either. There was too much sugar in it. I did not like putting all of that sugar into my body on a regular basis. Besides, an even greater insulin spike can be obtained by ingesting a smaller amount of sugar along with 50 grams of protein, post work out.3 The science upon which cell-tech product is based is somewhat old (in some senses, but not others), and its my qualified opinion that there are now more effective and efficient products available for purchase. "

I'm not going to comment futher on an old issue thats no longer relevant.
Futher, the advice given in my post is scientifically sound, and that's obvious, and so that is why it is correct.
