Wrist Support
Hey guys, this is just a quick question.
I started using the curling bar which i dont use much. I can curl 40kg, and id like to go higher, but every time i do it my arms feel like there going to snap! When i put the weight down theres just a nasty pain from my bones. This pain does not last, only for a lil while, but as you might imagine it makes it very hard to continue lifting weights.
My question is, would some sort of wrist support or arm support stop the pain? I have a feeling that it may? Any suggestions at all would be good.
Thank you.
Venney

I think I had the same exact problem. When I would be curling, my arms would feel ok, but when im done my reps and put the weight back on the floor, I would feel intense pain in the core of my forearms that felt like my bone was hurt somehow. It would go away after about two seconds, and then I wouldn't feel a thing until next set. What I did was I took about a week or so off from curling, and when I went back to it, the pain was dramatically less, and eventually went away completely. I believe there is a technical name for this, but I don't remember what it was. I don't even know much about this, so im sorry I can't give you any concrete advise. All I can suggest is to take a short break from curling, and hope that when you go back to it, it's better. Tell me how this turns out!

curling is such a waste of time... your forearms get worked on with most other exercises, isolating them with wrist curls isn't too good. A least that's what i thought...

Also, he said wrist curl.. i think. But your bones snap at 40 kg? Look at my weight. Look at it. I can do 35 kg. You have some ****ing weak bones.

people curl for biceps not forearms retard - all that needs to get said really.
Vittorio you are an idiot. 'Also, he said wrist curl.. i think' - you thought wrongly.
Thanks everyone else for the advice.
