Calculators like that have a very wide range of error associated with them. Any percentage you get of of there is going to be within a 5%~ish range. This means that someone who is 15% might show up at 17.5 or 12.5% If you can't tell visually in the mirror weather you are 17 or 12 you need to read up some more. In addition if you are that concerned just get some calipers and start testing yourself.
All that said, for people just starting out who need a very big ballpark answer this should do the trick.
