    The Arm Workout From Hell!

I have a new magazine from Muscle and Fitness and they have this arm workout in there that I'm doing tomorrow with a few of my buddies and I was wondering everyone elses thoughts about it. This workout is insane! It takes 5 hours! Yes I wrote that right. 5 hours. Muscle and Fitness calls it "The 1-inch-in-a-day Arm Routine, which is why my guy friends want to do it! I just want to see if I can make it through it! Anyways - here it goes:
    Each workout is a superset

Standing Barbell Curl 3 sets of 8 reps
    -superset with-
Seated two-hand overhead dumbbell extension 3 sets of 8 reps

Seated Alternating Dumbbell Curl 2 sets with 12 reps
    -superset with-
Two-Arm Dumbbell Kickback 2 sets with 12 reps

"Crazy 6's" Barbell Curl 1 set with 6 reps
    -superset with-
"Crazy 6's" lying barbell french press 1 set with 6 reps

That's the routine. You repeat these supersets every hour for 5 hours total. (They say that going through this whole routine once takes close to an hour.) Since you superset, you don't rest between them but you rest 90 seconds between each superset. This routine already makes me want to throw up. They also have a suggested eating plan and you eat something every hour - like egg whites, bananas, cottage cheese, whey protein, etc. I think we all just plan on bringing our big tubs of protein and downing one every hour. I just wanted to show everyone this routine and get feedback. It sounds awesome!

It sounds extreme. How can you work out the same muscles for 5 hours straight without harming them? The fatigue alone could cause injury! And who has 5 whole hours to spare?

The magazine said it works - as long as you only incorporate it once every three months or so. I'll try anything once. And about the injury thing - they said when they were done - their arms were like stuck at 120 degre angles. Pain is worth the gains in my opinion lol.

So it's OK if you have 5 hours to spare AND a week to recover?! Seriously, I wouldn't risk injury: any gains you make will be lost when you have to give up exercise for 2 months or more because of an injury. Respect your body.

Gods... if I had 5 hours a week to work on my arms, I'd... well... have a lot of spare time.

Wow - just wanted to let everyone know that this workout rocked. My partner and I cut the rest periods in half and were able to finish in three hours but it was just as crazy. I think this would be a good workout if you've hit a plateu and need to shock your muscles. Just my opinion. By the last set of dumbbell curls - I was at a pitiful 20 lbs. I felt ridiculous struggling just to get that weight up in front of everyone haha

Good luck with the recovery. Nobody doubted your arms would hurt.

Oh yeah, get your tape measure out and let us know the results.

My partner measured his arms right when we were done. He gained 3/4 inch in each arm. I'll post later on how many inches he retained. The people in the magazine both retained 1/4 to 1/2 inch per arm so we'll see how he does. My arms barely puffed out 1/4 inch but that may be because I'm female? I wasn't really hoping to gain an inch anyways lol

    a) theyre on roids
    b) they have better genetics then us

besides everyone knows compound exercises make ur arms grow and not crazy super setted isolations
