ok i don't think i'm gaining that much fat even though my waiste has shot up 2.5 inches and my weight is up 20lbs in the last 3 weeks while clean bulking. 3 weeks ago my bodyfat was roughly 7-8 percent and i've been running tons plus i'm an ecto so i hardly put on fat. but i've been loading up on the dairy everday (1/2 gallon milk, some yogurt, tons of whey, 24oz cottage cheese) and eating many clean but sodium friendly foods.
How to tell if it's bloat or fat????
and isn't eating the dairy and sodium stuff good for bulking. i'm not worried about the bloat now but in a month i'm stopping these foods because of school and i was wondering if i could still successfully bulk with limiting those foods????

Well one way to tell is by the color of your urine. It'll be clear if you're drinking enough and flushing everything out, if you're retaining it'll be on the yellow side or dark side. If you think you're drinking more than what's coming out.. bloated.
Agree with Skeeloth.. It's more gross and "jiggly" looking.
You get more of a complete round look.. think of filling up a water balloon. You kind of feel like that too. Fat just kind of sits there..Your whole stomch won't blow up because of a pound of fat.
Dairy tends to bloat people up.. so it probably is water.

cool thanks for the replys. i was hoping it was bloating. it's like my stomach wants to pop out and i can't put on my shoes or run anymore with stomach pain. alot of fat people run so i guess it's bloat.
how long would it take to get rid of the bloat???? if i cut out dairy and alot of sodium would it go away in a few days or something?

Also, I've gained around 15lbs from water before in a month. So it is possible to gain that much.
You can lose a lot of it in a few days. For that amount though it might take around 1-2 weeks. Sweating it out is the fastest and easiest. If it's hot and humid where you live, try just walking outside in it wearing sweats. Running usually doesn't work as good.. I forgot why that is.
Other people say to drink water to lose water.. but when you're that bloated..any more water will make you want to puke and your stomach will pop out more. If you don't regurally drink enough water, then only drink enough to stay hydrated if you're going to try sweating.
If you know of anything that makes you piss a lot..that will help. Caffine could if you normally don't use it. Lemons are a natural diuretic. Cut out carbs too if you're eating things like bread or rice. Oats are fine.

well actually i'm up to 201lbs today from 175lb 3 weeks ago when i finished cutting so that's a 26lb increase. the problem is i can't stop eating...
i thought the 1st week when i was eating over 5000cals a day it was just my body recovering from the cut but now i don't know what to do because i know my body's recovered but i'm still eating like crazy and gaining 1.5lbs a day with running. what to do?
