Scare during cardio -- what happened?

This was extracted from my journal from today, but I thought I would start a thread in here so more people could see it. It has me rather concerned...

"*** Immediately following my last ON interval (~95%), severe cramping commenced in my upper right abdoman/ lower right chest. Whilst cramping, I also became very light headed and my vision went slightly blurry. Due to all of this, I could not get a full breath in, and was in a lot of pain from the cramping. This continued until my heart rate came back down to around ~110bpm. It was a very scary moment and I have been searching for reasons as to why this happened. I will be skipping HIIT training tomorrow and electing for a mid-intensity session instead.

Does anyone know why I had such awful cramping and light headedness?"

yea, probably dehydration, did you drink plenty of water before you started your running, or maybe it just got too hot, or it could be nutrition deficit (potassium, i think) Hope you are feeling better now

    Cramp

Could be a combination of dehydration and your diaphragm can cramp also.

But please be smart and go see your doctor to make sure. We aren't doctors.
