I have the ironmaster and they are great. I'm also thinking of getting these but have no feedback on them.

With these at least you can have several dbs setup when I do supersets to fatigue, plus you can upgrade up to 225lbs (more than I'll ever need).
A negative aspect is the cost.

Jim, I copied the paragraph below from this link:
http://www.powershack.net/Products/P...Directions.htm
**Periodically check Allen bolts in dumbbells/barbells to make sure they are fully tightened. If bolts and threaded collars are not completely tight, + LBS add-on plates will not tighten or loosen properly. In the event one of your add-on plates will not spin off because bolt and/or collar have loosened up while dumbbell or barbell is in use, simply insert Allen wrench in the center hole of add-on plate and tighten bolt. This will allow plate to be spun off.
I too would appreciate input from anyone who has used these powershack dumbbells.

I am going to put in wall speakers soon actually. I rarely use my computer speakers and they are 5.1 surround sound so I am just going to hook them up to my stereo in the garage.
BTW, my payment for using the garage is I have to clean off my parents' car winshields every morning in the winter. Its a good workout tho.

I've been looking at that system from Powertec myself and was wondering if that bench will also decline. Doesn't show in any of the videos on Powertec's website.

crooked -
yeah, it declines. I can send you other pics or info if you would like. I really like this leverage system unit. Out of all my chocies, this was definately the most solid piece of equipment that fit my space requirements. I think If i went with one of those bowflex or crossbar things (they also fit in my small space requirements), which i did try at stores, i wouldn't like them at all even if they cost half as much as the wb-ls. I spent about $700.

How is the bench on that WB-LS ?
To Linkin8r,
Since you have a Powertec WB-LS, I may buy one myself, I want to ask you:
Could you effectively (move the structure away) use the bench of that WB-LS and do dumbbells exercise like a normal bench ?
Is the bench well padded, too narrow, too long, or just right ?
Do you feel that the leverage is the next best thing after free weight ? (probably better than weight stack with pulley but maybe not as good as free weight for the stabilizing muscle).
Now I guess, that since the handle lever is position further away than the weight itself when compare with the pivot, you end up not quite lifting the same weight (a bit less in fact, since the sum of the moment around the pivot are in equilibrium, you need a smaller force to lift it, so you have an advantage, meaning you are lifting less, example lifting in fact 90lb or 95lb for a weight stack of 100lb).
How is the squat ? (is it made for a 5ft 7in person, a smaller or a taller person) ?
It does look like built like a tank, is it solid, sturdy ?
The 20 exercises advertised, what are they exactly ?
Finnally, do you think, that with that machine + hand dumbbells (I don't know if Ironmaster 75lb is enough or should I go with the 120 lb kit), you have pretty much everything you need ?
Thanks in advance.

Look like a good bench.
At first, I was thinking of buying the Ironmaster Superbench + Ironmaster dumbbells, but now...
I don't know, I have a hard time thinking that I could EMail order those things without trying them, so I'm now concentrating to what I can get at local Fitness Store (in Québec, Canada).
Some vendor told me Hoist HF-165 bench, perhaps, but now I discover the Powertec WB-LS leverage system gym, this could do also, since the bench alone on this machine look just as good as other bench, for dumbbell exercise (plus you got the rest of the machine).
I'm still not sure, what is best for me ????

I will get the powertec power rack system .
But the powertec WB-LS is also a good machine but for me is inferior than free weights to be more stronger and muscular .
I have a powertec power rack and a leverage squat machine .
VoilÃ* !

Concern is spotter & space.
The idea behind a machine like the Powertec WB-LS is the fact that being alone, and since I never did weight lifting before, I'm a bit scare of pushing at the last rep without a spotter.
Also, I don't have a big room to devote for this, just a portion of a room, and for me the space required is a concern.
So maybe the Powertec WB-LS is an option.
I saw also, this:
http://ironmaster.com/store/customer...4&cat=5&page=1
When there, look at the Downloadable PDF Exercise Poster, It sure does look impressive.

That is what I'm leaning toward to.
Thanks KSA for your last post, if I had to buy today (I think it will be more like 2 or 3 months from now), I think I will buy the Powertec WB-LS + some adjustable dumbbells (perhaps Ironmaster, maybe 75 lb is enough, no kit to bring it to 120 lb).
Now, here in Canada, they told me that weight is $0.59 cdn per pound and $2.00 cdn for weight encapsulated in rubber, do you think that this price is right (1 cdn$ = 0.822$US).
What do I need, 200 lb, 300 lb, divided in what ? (to be able to leave some in permanence for lat & leg, maybe using them for heavy press).
If you think that you will use them a lifetime (in my case, it will be 1/2 a lifetime, LOL) and if money is not so much an objet, will you go for rubberized weight (less noise, no chipping, no rusting, etc.). Should I get weight plate with finger grip built-in (hole - slot in it) ?
Thanks in advance.

Originally, I taped up a curl bar 'cause I didn't like the feel of the knurled handle. I liked that so well that I went back and bought a couple of rolls and did ALL the hand grip surfaces! The hockey tape comes in other colors.
