Lets see some home gym setups
I didn't want to hyjack the "My Home Gym" thread, so I posted this one.
Curious to see some other peoples home gym setup area.
I'm still in the process of setting mine up and purchasing other equipment, as well as finishing my basement. But here goes as it stands now.

did you rip up the ceiling to make it fit? Also is that a portable air conditioning unit you got?

KiotiHulk, nice setup man!
I also ordered a Powertec Power Rack, just waiting for them to come instock again so it can be delivered. I also ordered a Hoist HF-165 Flat/Incline/Decline bench, and that will be delivered with my rack.
How do you like your power rack so far? What type of bench do you have?

I have a very similar setup.....you can buy the mats at Dick Sporting Goods. You buy them like puzzle pieces so you can make the mat as big as it needs to be.

You can get excellent quality heavy duty 3/4 inch thick 4ft x 6ft rubber horse mats at farm supply stores. They cost 1/3 of what exercise stores will charge you and they are alot more heavy duty.

heres my contribution. Legpress is used for calf work, and the occasional useless exercise (like leg press )

heres some more. Ive modified my seated calf machine, because the padding was so soft that it hurt my legs when i was using the machine, so i have bought some new foam thats more dense, and i havent upholstered the calf machine yet.
I also have 650 pound of olympic plates and another olympic bar that i havent pictures, and an exercise bike also.
Home gyms rule. Im looking at adding a lifting platform in the next few weeks, ill be building it myself.

Mr. Fancypants:
Nope the power rack "just fit", the ceiling height is about 86" and the unit I think is about 81" so it comes farily close. That unit in the corner is a dehumidifier, keeps the dampness out of the basement as well as prevents some rust buildup on the equipment.
Bulldoggg:
The rack is great for the price, I have done squats and military press, inside the rack itself, and it works fine, I'd like a little more room from the front to the back. The cable system is good/great it is a little different from the weight stack style in the gym but it works just as good. I do not have a bench yet, I've been debating on which one to get
JamesJJk:
I got mine at Southern States just like Bulldoggg had stated, about $39 a piece. 3/4" 6'x4'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
All the pictures look great, keep'em coming, just trying to get ideas for ways to arrange and set mine up

Some great home gyms posted on here. I wish I could do more but I don't have the room. I keep my gym in a storage unit I rent. No AC or electrical outlets. Most of the time I'm working out in 90+ degree temps and down 1/2 gallon of water a workout. Though the equipment is adequate its just the terrible workout conditions.

I like the bench a lot! I have been working out for a while on and off but never serious since 1996-1997 and this bench serves my needs well.

Agreed. I'm so jealous.
Just curious: how much might a gym like that cost?

Around $1,000+ or maybe lower.
He's got a Cable system I think in the corner, that costs alot, along with the Power Rack.

You can get the black mats at Dick Sporting Goods....they come in a big bag in puzzle pieces so you can make the mat as big or small as needed.

are there any Dick sporying goods in southern cali? I got those puzzle piece mats but there bumpy. Like they got a tire mark pattern on top. I want the kind stecman has because they look smooth and glossy which is easier to move on. Anyone
