Even though it's an excellent resource, most of the articles I've read on T-nation were pretty heavy and geared toward the intermediate-pro level so I don't know if I'd recommend it to someone starting out. I'd have to spend more time there looking around first to make that call. I assume you're talking about the articles, right?Originally Posted by $AJ
For the most part Arnold's book is fine. All it needs is a massive disclaimer at the start: "we were all on steroids and some of these routines are influenced by that." Simple. 80% of it is great. I give a lot of credit to that book for the fact I am still going at 220lbs today and not a 150lb quitter who bailed out a long time ago. It showed me the ropes and for that I'm graetful. There is far more technical and science-oriented stuff out there, but is it better for a beginner? I don't know. All I know is I have no regrets. Arnold's book is what made me fall in love with bodybuilding. All those black and white pics of every perfect bodypart was amazing. The sheer number of exercises that are listed is good enough reason to get it. The nutrition advice is a little outdated and I wouldn't recomend his training split to anyone.
I don't know either lol

Right. Weed out some of that stuff or put it in the right context, and it'd be so much better. Like I said before, for its motivational value alone, it was definitely worth it. It made me want to train. Speaking of the photos in that book, there's a great little site "commemorating bodybuilding's glory days." Worth checking out if you haven't been there before.
