motivation is so hard. and i think its harder for women because of hormones and everything... i can feel so back and forth sometimes- one days im like heck yes! weight training! and the next i dont want to do anything. perhaps you could be overtraining?
you can feel kind of depressed and not very motivated to do what you usually enjoy. just remember- this happens to all of us at one point of another.
write down your original goals for wanting to lose that weight. find a training partner or someone who could keep you accountable with what you eat. just remember: support! it helps a lot

Everyone goes through times where you lose motivation--you are definitely not alone but you are the one who ultimately has to pull yourself out---did you say you lost 37 pounds--thats incredible and you have shown you have willpower--you will not be perfect all the time.

Good Morning! Glad to see you're feeling better today. Its funny cause I have been a lil down lately too and was trying to pick myself back up and I went and bought new multis yesterday and some L-Glutamine and figure God I cant be messing up so much especialy for all the damn money I pay out between food, supps, mags, gym membership. So for me because I hate spending money or should I say wasting money I best do it and do it right. Anyway glad to see you got your spirit back

I am so glad you're feeling better! We all do have the down days. I haven't been to the gym in almost 2 weeks because I have been ill. It's hard to keep the motivation - but you have shown you have what it takes! Keep up the good work!

Hey Mama, Nothing like buying supps and good food to get you going. I was screwing up too! Not on working out, but eating and drinking ( alcohal) Bought some new proteein powder and some l-glutamine and I'm good again. Summer has got me lazy and I've been stressing out about stuff. And god I feel like i'm gonna puke if I eat another peice of chicken, tuna or an egg! Maybe i can puree' it. Then i won't have to eat it. You'll be okay!!! Just think of the 37lbs you lost and what it would feel like to wear it again. Tell your husband he better knock that chicken fried $hit off.

good work
hiya mom,
Congratulations on the weight loss!
whenever you get down about things, just think about what you really want - a fit body, right? I cut out inspiring pictures of female bodybuilders and fitness models and place them in strategic locations (fridge, cupboards, on the cover of my workout journal) and think "I want this..not the peanut butter and chocolate ice cream" - well, I do want the PB & C ice cream, but I'm not going to eat it
It's hard in N.A. culture to get through the day without temptation. Everyday at work someone brings in donuts or cookies or is going out to Harvey's for lunch "Do you want anything while I'm there?" But you just have to stay focused and not give in. Every fitness model or bodybuilder you see had to learn to say no - a lot. I'm sure most felt and sometimes still feel the same as you and me. And I think this is the hardest part of it all. Not the weights, not the cardio. Just having the determination and will power to get what you want. But you've already lost 37lbs, so I know your determination is there! Keep up the great work!
