Yeah, but Arnie did have a heart defect, something to do with his aorta that he got repaired when the filming for Batman and Robin was rapping up. People say it was from roids but I believe it's something he had all his life.

it was his heart valve, back in the 90's he had a transplant for a defective heart valve, he claimed it was from hereditary heart problems

its probably not from steroids,
he already admitted to using steroids, why wouldn't he just say its from steroids??
his family most likely has a history of heart problems..

there is no scientific proof that steroids cause heart problems so steroids are ruled out, if u disagree, show me a study taht shows how it affects the heart

Have you ever seen him in Rambo or any of the Rocky movies?
I think he's pretty big and ripped.

just a correction
you can only rule out steroids if there is scientific proof to DISPROVE that steroids cause heart problems

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, that is not possible to prove. There is no scientific proof to prove that aliens don't sneak down at night and operate on humans to give them heart problems, so I guess we can't rule that out either.

I'm pretty sure there are studies which show that certain steroids can increase heart muscle size which in turn leads to heart problems. Too lazy to search for them now. And, seriously, cmon, look at Mentzer and a zillion other powerlifters/bodybuilders who have heart problems/die young from heart disease. You are living in a dream world if you think that *prolonged* and/or inappropriate steroid use can't cause heart problems. I'm not saying one cycle is going to damage someones heart, but to claim that prolonged steroid use (and hence, steroids) don't cause heart problems with all the evidence out there is just plain stupid.
Then again, prolonged eating of Burger King causes heart problems so whatever... it doens't matter

Steroid abuse has been associated with cardiovascular diseases (CVD), including heart attacks and strokes, even in athletes younger than 30. Steroids contribute to the development of CVD, partly by changing the levels of lipoproteins that carry cholesterol in the blood. Steroids, particularly the oral types, increase the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and decrease the level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL). High LDL and low HDL levels increase the risk of atherosclerosis, a condition in which fatty substances are deposited inside arteries and disrupt blood flow. If blood is prevented from reaching the heart, the result can be a heart attack. If blood is prevented from reaching the brain, the result can be a stroke.
Steroids also increase the risk that blood clots will form in blood vessels, potentially disrupting blood flow and damaging the heart muscle so that it does not pump blood effectively.

Just something I found real quick, so before you all start ganging up on me...
EDIT: nothing significant just a typo.

Most things will hurt you if you take them in excess. Some things more than others depending on your GENETICS. You are an idiot if you think that steroids are 100% healthy and have no bad side-effects. I would go as far as to put you on the same level as a fat man who goes to McDonalds everyday claiming, "I have a skinny friend who eats here everyday and HES HEALTHY!"
