Shoulder injury - rotator cuff?

Background - I hurt my shoulder over 6 weeks ago while doing cleans - I felt the shoulder come out the joint and then go back in so it wasnt exactly dislocated. Is this considered a rotator cuff injury?

A few weeks ago when I was doing workouts on shoulder days I was doing db raises and felt it come out again and go back in the same happened to my right shoulder..

ive been going pretty easy on them for the past 2 weeks but today i felt the same feeling when doing db curls and i wasnt even going that heavy...

what should i be doing to help fix this issue... obviously i should take time off lifting but that i tried that for 4 weeks and the issue is still there...

ill go to the doctors to get it checked out and im thinkin about taking multivitamins and glucosamine and chondriton to help with my joints.

any advice? i need to get back into lifting like i use to and i dont want this to mess with my gains.

thanks

It COULD be a rotator cuff injury, but from what you described it just sounds like a shoulder injury that you probably should have gone to the doctor about already. Anytime something pops out of socket.. you'd usually be advised to get it checked out.

Same thing happened to me playing lacrosse. Turns out The cartilage that helped hold the arm in the socket tore - th only way to fix it for me is surgery. Go see a specialist - the surgery is simple.

i dont think its that serious.. there is no pain but when i workout it kinda comes out/glides out a little and causes me not to lift the weight...

if this is what you say it is.. how long were you out from surgery?

can it heal on its own?

cartilage can't heal on its own, and I haven't taken the surgery yet. But they said 6 months to fully heal.

i currently have torn my superstenatus part of the rotator cuff because the rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles.. this happened 4 weeks ago and the doctor said i had to let it rest and no gym activity.. however, yesterday i went to see a chiropractor (this is 4 weeks on from the injury) and the chiropractor told me i should have went in straight away when i got the injury because by now it would have been healed and i would have been back to shoulder lifting.. i am currently getting treatment on it every second day and they are pumping blood circulation into the rotator cuff area.. however, he told me it will be another 4 weeks till i am able to do exercises that will not put stress on the rotator cuff.. namingly deltoid and pectorial exercises as well as some others (squats).. so technically i can train every other part of my body except chest and shoulders.. i have lost mass on both muscle groups ever since.. especially my deltoids which were one of my larger muscles.. u should see a chiropractor and get treatment done..

If you've never had a rotator cuff injury it's pretty hard to explain what it is.. your shoulder popped out of place, that's the problem. Not your rotator cuff.
